I'm loving my kayfun lite plus. Just looking for options of other rba tanks that might be worth looking into.

Honestly, I'm fine with clones. I'm not looking to break the bank on another atty. just something that's pretty simple, and performs well. I generally prefer organic cotton wick, but I have a ton of silica on hand. So either (as far as wicking) would be fine.

Thanks for the input!

It's hard for me not to recommend an aqua or aqua-like tank. I find them to provide a better vape than the kayfun. You have a Nemesis coming if I remember correctly from your other thread, correct?

The $20 Fasttech Aqua with the red O-rings or an ehpro aqua from eBay if you don't want to wait will be great.

If you want a glass tank, crazy airflow and larger juice capacity with maybe not as nice (arguably) build quality in a 22mm device try the Fogger v4.

You should try one of these style tanks.

There are tanks like the spheroid and genesis tanks that can give amazing vape experiences but are built very different from the kayfun. There are also tanks like the flash e-vapor v2 and taifun that have similiar vaping experiences to the kayfun with the added ability of accessing your coil and wick without draining your tank. i learned to bottom fill my aqua which allows me access to the coil without draining. i hate having to drain a tank to get at my wick.

Great info! Yes...I got my Nenesis! And with the help of you guys, I've got it running beautifully with my kfl plus on top! The Aqua, and fogger v4 are sounding pretty appealing. Love the suggestions though! ; )

Just did my first builds on an Aqua clone and a Kraken clone. So far ... I'm really liking the Aqua. I have to play around with the Kraken a bit more and they are different builds - Aqua was a little harder but it is vaping like a champ. Using organic cotton and 30 gauge Kanthal in both. I wanted the RTA for travel because I can't always keep my rig upright and if I have to lay it on its side I don't want to have it leaking a bunch which I guess is more possible with a genesis style. Kayfun's seem nice but I wanted the Aqua for the air holes. It's an HCigar clone from eBay and way at my door in 3 days.

It what way is it "harder"? Thanks!

The aqua is harder to coil and easier to wick than the kayfun. It is a dual coil device with only two posts so it's a little fiddly to get both coils situated and burning equally. I like my aqua with 1/16 diameter coils and cotton. It's easier to wick because if you use slightly too much you can twist the chimney to allow more juice to flow to the wicks. This makes it easier to keep flooding away and reduces dry hits substantially. With a Kayfun you need to wick it right. With an Aqua just get it into the ballpark.

I'd take a harder to coil device over a harder to wick device an day of the week since you rewick alot more than recoiling.

Hmmmm...are there any 3 post attys (tank style) that you have the option of a single or double coil, and also fits the bill as far as quality and not too costly? Thanks for the info!

I've heard the fogger v4 is easier to coil. I have one coming in from Fasttech so I can't compare it to the aqua personally. The fogger v4 is approx. $30 so it isn't cost prohibitive. From what I have seen and read I don't think you would be disappointed.

Here is a review from one of the more well respected and prolific reviewers.

The FOGGER v4 - YouTube

To answer your question I don't know of any 3 post dual coil tanks that are not Genesis style atttys.

I have just about everything xcept an aqua and I'll say the fogger could be a bit of a hassle to build, wicking is the issue, it either floods or dry hits the happy medium is hard to find bud definitely worth it, .
I'd like to give a shout out to the pulse genny , it's my personal favorite, the key is the reducer, the reduced space inside the cap creates fantastic flavor, that's something you should keep in mind when looking at any atty, smaller chamber (under the cap) lends itself to better flavor.

Reducer is removable for dual coil builds of course.

I almost forgot if your budget reaches $80+ there is the eXpromizer as well. It's like a Kayfun combined with a Taifun GT allowing access to the coil without draining the tank. Todd and VapingWithTwisted420 both have YouTube reviews if your interested.

Sounds awesome but unfortunately my budget doesn't allow that at this point. : (
Your help has been greatly appreciated though! : )

Over the last two months I have had 3 vaping Nirvana moments:

1. When I set up my aqua and it worked (took two attempts).
2. Dripping in my Storm-A dripper. Only bested by my Zenith v2 and magma drippers but not substantially.
3. Vaping on my Gus Estia with tri-coils (like the aqua). This is the best vaping I have ever had since it has vapor like a great dripper in a tank.

1 and 2 were both under $35 each.

You can have some amazing, amazing vape experiences for just a little dough.

You'll find your vaping Nirvana moments I'm sure.

Good stuff bce22!

You can run the Aqua with just one coil. And you have to remember that running dual coils in parallel means that the rest of each coil is cut in half by the other coil so 2 1 ohm coils will give you a half ohm not 2 ohms.

The positive and negative posts are thumbscrews versus having a screw head for flat or philips. So, yeah, its a pain in the .... to get the coils on. I use 2 machine screws and do my coil wraps on them and use the screws to help position the legs to wrap under the posts. Helped to adjust things a bit and didn't take them off until the posts were screwed down so I didn't mess with the coils. The Kraken took me no time to make a single coil and screw it down with a philips and away you go.
I would guess you could run the Aqua on just one post and put a little cotton into the other 2 wicking channels and vape away. Haven't tried it but it seems plausible.

The other clone I was looking at was the Russian 91%. Think I went with the Aqua because of the reviews and the air holes. The one thing that was a little worrying to me was the coils touching the bell housing around them. I didn't want a short and did 6 wraps on each coil. Used cotton and it is running like a champ. Can't wait to see how long the coils and cotton go before I change them up. I do know that I am a little nervous about running out of juice in the Aqua - can't see how much is in there. I have gotten a feel for how much I go through when I am smoking and have just been extra cautious and dropped in some more juice. I would say that is the only drawback for me on the Aqua so far - little room for the juice. I wouldn't think that you can get much more than 1.5 ml inside. Not including the wick.

on 1. Totally agreed. I know how to make good coils and great wicking setups across most devices, and the aqua by far is the biggest pain in the ... to set up a good build. (And again I urge you to check out the youtube video on drilling the aqua airholes for more airflow, it will turn your kayfun into a devie that comes close to/competes with drippers. If you don't want to do the drilling I know a guy who can do it for you and he does a fantastic job for $5...)

My nirvana moment: seeing the difference between a stock aqua with dual coils and a modified aqua with dual coils. AIRFLOW. Can be advantageous in so many ways on so many devices.

And yeah you don't need to spend a lot of money on authentics. Do a little research and you can find fantastic 1:1 clones. My Aqua is an EHPRO clone. My origin that I run my Aqua in hybrid on is also an EHPRO clone.

A modified (for more airflow) Aqua. It isn't a 3 post, and it can take a while to learn how to secure good dual coils, but when done properly you have an RBA that performs like a dripper in many ways. This is your best bet. Pick up an Aqua clone (Theyre well under $50).

skim that video, it shows you what needs to be drilled. You can do it yourself, or I know a guy who does the mod for $5 + return shipping and he does it the day he gets your Aqua and gets it back in the mail that same day. He did mine and it's an amazing device.
