I used to smoke 1 pack a day sometimes more. When I started vaping it went down to 5 to 7 sticks a day. I have been using juul since November of last year. juul is really good, except that the pods are always running out. So I decided to buy Allo. The device and 2 dozen pods arrived 10 ago without incident. However, when I checked the box of the pod, it’s partly manufactured in China. I have not used it since it arrive. my question is whether or not it’s safe to use products from China given the ongoing pandemic?

I found this chart, if you 'quarantine' your purchases for some time, and disinfect the outside of the packages that would probably be the best option. No matter where the package comes from, this is a good practice.

Covid 19 can last on some surfaces for up to 72 hours, so unless you received something that made it from China to your door within three days, it's pretty safe. If you're concerned at all it might be good just to leave the product alone for a couple more days for peace of mind. My shipments from China take weeks so I'm not concerned. Good luck with your new vapes!

The device was manufactured a while ago. Most likely in a very clean facility. Think pharmaceutical.
Also odds are it was manufactured in Shenzhen, where 90% of all vape products are made. (Wuhan is some 500 miles north of Shenzhen)

You say "partly manufactured" in China. I would guess everything except the juice. So, it was made, packaged, then shipped to the USA, where it was then "juiced". Then packaged, awaiting the sale to you, or a 3rd party vendor, then to you. It (all except the juice) possibly was made last summer.

I would think you'd have more risk from the shipping box traveling thru the USA to you. (you don't say where you call home, so forgive the assumptions). Which I would say is very minimal.

Your much larger health risk is the "5 to 7 sticks a day", if you are still partaking of that.

Good discussion. But overall, I'd say your vape by now is quite safe, albeit ridiculously strong at 48mg/ml.

Welcome, and best of luck.

As far as the juice goes, I don't think viruses like PG, which is one of the components of ejuice, although I can't guarantee that. Even more important is that the virus doesn't like heat and, as @DaveOno said, ejuice is heated well beyond what the virus can take when it's vaporized. In short, the juice itself shouldn't present a problem.
