Question about a shipping issue

Not sure where to post this. Anyway, I was waiting on my order from VapeWild, so I was obsessively watching the FedEx tracking. I live in Indiana, and the package got to Indiana at 2:01a on the 30th. It came closer to where I live (in east central Indiana, the package was coming from the west), then did a u-turn, and started heading back west, where at 1:45p today it ended up in Illinois. I'm attaching the tracking info, because I'm a little confused about what's going on. Is this usual, or is it going back? Should I call FedEx?

No idea maybe the vendor recalled? Sometimes fedex will route my package around to a few different cities all like 30 minutes away from me until the actual delivery date.

Did you run the tracking on the full FedEx site to see what the ETA was there? It looks like this is FedEx HOME delivery, so unless something changed recently, they deliver home service on Tues to Sat. Home also uses a different facility in my city as well.

VW has nothing to do with what FedEx does once they have the shipment in hand as far as I know unless it is canceled for delivery I would think. Like @Kickingthesticks asked when is scheduled delivery date or ETA?

Scheduled delivery date is tomorrow, 5/2. I'll wait and see if it comes then. I'm just confused as to why it would hit Indiana, bounce around here some, then go to Illinois the day before its scheduled to be here.

I have had packages come to my area by UPS and then go east to come back past me and then get delivered to the USPS for delivery adding an additional day to shipping.

It's a common issue with FedEx, unless the package is sent priority direct (1 or 2 day shipping) they bounce packages all around like a pinball machine for days, probably how they mark up their shipping costs as fair, UPS is no better, and don't get me started on USPS.

Just be glad it shows tomorrow as the last vape Mail I had come to me last week showed Monday delivery but never showed up and never fails when it goes to Brooklyn that I get a mysterious extra day delay! But have to remember the fine print that says the ETA is not a Guaranteed delivery date it is an estimate!

Something that's weird is that every vapemail I've had come through USPS has, without fail, arrived the day before the scheduled delivery day, with no bouncing around. The last one I even thought wouldn't get here until the delivery day, but it showed up at the last moment the day before. Oh well.
