Our last batch (and time to order again) was six boxes of the black and six boxes of the metal. And they were in the clear packaging. We, DH and I, have found a lot of inconsistency, too. We've been through 4.5 boxes of the black, and similar for the silver ~44 cartos. Out of those there were a couple that were DOA, two that shorted two separate REOs, the same week, about 4 that died in less than a week, 8 or so that were great vaping for over a week, and the rest that lasted 3-7 days of good vaping but didn't die (they get cleaned in sonic cleaner using PG, blown out, and put in emergency box). This is using the same juices the whole time with similar characteristics; 50/50 FSUSA Applewood for DH and 50/50 FSUSA Hopscotch or Butterscotch Almond or Applewood for me. All four flavors are mild and light colored. Applewood is not as sweet as the other three. All four have virtually same viscosity.
The boxes were glued together so they are a stack; one stack of black and one stack of silver. We take them from the top box and then tear the door off when we open the next one down. The two that shorted were the last one from one box and first one pulled out from the box below so most likely same run and/or lot. One REO was a Woodvil and the other a Grand. One has Applewood; the other Butterscotch Almond; similar juices.
So they are pretty inconsistent but we both love them for many reasons. They bring out the flavor of our juices as good as or even better than all the various attys we've used (LOTS), they are inexpensive and DH can toss them, when he's traveling (weekly) without my getting on his case (I'm a major atty cleaner), they don't leak or self feed in our extreme temps, and DH never has to worry about them self feeding during his two flights a week or when he lays it down, on its side, in his lap.
I've ordered, and they've come in, the Smoketech cartos, that Robert sells, that are supposed to be the same carto, but reg size as the Resurectors. I haven't picked them up yet so I haven't used them. Robert only has them in black and we like the metal on some REOs so I may be ordering them in metal, from somewhere if they prove to be any improvment over the Resurectors.
We have nothing against the Boge except where I order them, CCV in bulk, they only offer the 2.0 ohm Boge. That is too cool a vape for both of us in carto at 3.7v, with our 50/50 juices. We need 1.7-1.8 for best vape for us. We only ordered one box to compare to the Resurectors so we have no experience with which to judge or compare. The flavor, of our juices, didn't seem to be as good as when using the Resurectors. Notice I use "our juices" a lot. This is because I think particular juices are better or worse with different attys/cartos.
I would like to give them a better test but would need <2.0 ohm. If someone knows where to get them, at a good bulk price, or price as good as bulk, I would love a recommendation.
So............ I'll still be ordering the Resurectors. BTW..... I keep a good supply of REO springs on hand,too.
