I am very new to vaping and had a few questions that I couldn't really find direct or solid answers to. I'm using a Provari v2.5 with an Aspire nautilus.

I've been told not to go below .5ml in the so my question is what everyone does when that .5ml is all they have left of that flavor. Do you just dump it and switch liquids?

Also is it necessary to change coils when changing liquid flavors or just recommended to do so for the taste?

When switching flavors is there any way to expedite the process of getting rid of the old flavor so it doesn't mix with the new stuff?

I apologize in advance if these questions have been answered already. Thanks.

In general, a little liquid left in the tank ensures that the wicking material doesn't get hot enough to give you a dry hit. Even in my Kayfuns, I change or add juice even tho there is a small amount of liquid in the tank. No, it isn't necessary to change coils, unless you suspect it's not performing well. When switching flavors, I add a "complementary" juice to whatever I had in the tank previously. For example, add another citrus to the citrus I'm currently vaping, or add a bakery to an old bakery. Various tobaccos handle this well, too. Hope this helps.

Hi there. Personally I just would use the .5ml of liquid you have left and top up with your new flavour. You do get a bit of a mix taste for a little while but then the new flavour takes over.

If you do want a clean taste for the new flavour then would require the tank to be cleaned and a new coil change. Try just adding in your new liquid and see if you're OK with it, doing this has never caused me any issues with coils.

You can vape the Aspire all the way to empty - only thing is as the liquid reduces, you'll increase the chance of a dry hit where no liquid gets to the coil.

As for switching flavors, you can either just pour the new flavor in (as it sounds you have been doing) or take the coil head from the base and give it a rinse under some hot running water. Shake it off, reinstall and refill. The first few vapes of the new flavor will be light as the water burns off, but apart from that, you'll not notice much difference.

It's actually a good thing to rinse your coil every few tanks anyway as this will help prolong the life of your coil. Make sure you clean your tank, 510 connector and drip-tips regularly too. When you are doing this, a little cleaning on the drip well / 510 connector of your Provari is a good idea as well.

Some people have a few coils in rotation so they can let them dry between fills - you can do this if you want, but it's really not a big deal. Others use hair dryers or indirect heat to dry them - again, you can if you wish, but it's not strictly necessary.

The remaining juice in you tank can be vaped.
Just be aware that If the atomizer wicks don't get sufficient juice you will get burnt vapes.
Another possible side effect would flooding/leaking due to the loss of vacuum inside the atomizer chamber.
When the above symptoms occur it's time to dump and clean the tank.

I never mix flavors in a tank. A new juice deserves a clean tank and atomizer.
Just my $.02

I feel dumb for asking this but is there an exploded illustration of the nautilus so i can see exactly what you are talking about in regards to the drip tip and drip well.

The drip tip is the part that you put your mouth on when you hit it. The "drip well" that InTheShade is referring to is the top part of your provari that you screw your nautilus into. You want to clean that area on occasion with a q tip and hi % iso alcohol to make sure it stays clean, assuring that the electrical connection between your provari and your tank are good. Hope that helps. What I do when I am down to .5ml and am planning on changing flavors is dump the fluid, take apart the tank completely, rinse well with water and let dry for about an hour after I have wiped off as much moisture as I can with a paper towel. You can also rinse out the coil and either dry it quickly with a hair dryer or let it air dry for a few days and just put a new coil in. Then the next time you plan on changing up flavors you do the same thing but re-use the coil that you rinsed out before if that makes sense.

Exactly this. Some basic maintenance on your equipment will make it last longer as well as improve the chance of it always working the way you want it to.
I can't find a diagram of the nautilus tank anywhere, but FattyJ described what I was talking about - thanks.
