so, a few months ago i sold a mod on the classified section and it took me a few days of posting to be allowedto post in the classified section. now, trying to selling another mod and yet again i am not allowed to post in the classified section. so, i read the stickies about the requirements being changed and i wentthrough the paypal verification process. it said it can take up to 24 hours to go through. 3 days later and i still get the same message that i am not allowed to postin the classified section. this is a bit ridiculous. how do you sell something? why does it have to be so ridiculously tough?

I sent you a PM explaining the denial.

Verification denied. Please read the header on the top of the form:
Verification Via PayPal

Requirements
  • Member must have a minimum of 20 post.
  • Member must be PayPal verified.
  • PayPal and ECF registered email must match.

At the time you sent the request, you did not meet the minimum requirement for posts on the forum.

Yes, you may feel the verification process is ridiculous but I know some of the upstanding members that have been scammed out of their hard earned money would not feel the same. Just in the last quarter of last year, I handled numerous reports where members were scammed out of over $1,000, one scammer made off with close to $800 on her own. This is unacceptable and something had to be done. This is when we began tightening down on the Classified section. I know the Classified section is advertised as "Buyer Beware" but that's no excuse for allowing scammers to come in and take advantage of our Members good nature. This isn't to imply you or anyone else is a scammer but it is a step in the right direction to protecting ECF members. No, it's not foolproof, the main responsibility lies with the buyer/seller, use good judgement when making any transaction online.

There's much more to this story but I'll leave it at that.

Now that this happens to be your 20th post, feel free to re-submit your request, assuming you meet all the requirements.
