Question about Menthol X

Does the Menthol X use Tribeca as the tobacco flavor? Just curious.

On another note - I first ordered the 7ml bottles of both at 12 mg of nicotine. Loved them both. Re-ordered at 30 ml with 6 mg of nicotine. Changed 2 of the replaceable BDC cartridges for my Aspire BDC clearomizers to new ones for the tanks that I had filled with Tribeca and Menthol X. I still had some Tribeca in the 7ml bottle so added that to the existing Tribeca in the tank (both at 12mg of nicotine) and now I barely get the flavor. Same for the Menthol X but I had to add the 6mg strength to what I had left in the tank that was 12 mg strength. I don't know if the dreaded vapor's tongue has finally hit me! I am thinking about placing another order at 18 mg to mix with the new 6 mg to make it 12 mg again. Maybe it's the nic strength that is throwing things off but then again the Tribeca shouldn't be affected yet.

Ya prolly just got used to the flavors...I definitely taste Tribeca in the menthol x and when I tried vaping one after the other, I could tell I wasn't getting the usual flavor...they don't pop when used next to another in rotation...for me... I actually haven't tried Tribeca in a few weeks just because I had gotten so used to that flavor when I first started...

And yea, more nicotine, less flavor, more throat hit...

common ways to help mitigate and alleviate vapor's tongue:

drink plenty of water

switch to unflavored base for a day (like fusion)

rotate your flavors

bacon

moar bacon

try cleansing your olfactory pallete; like lemon peel, coffee grounds, ginger, etc. your taste and smell are linked afterall

bacon

mouthwash

brush your tongue

did i mention bacon?

vinegared foods, like pickles...but not vinegared bacon

just regular bacon

I do have a lot of flavors I use from NT, like Frenilla, CLS, H1N1, Strawnilla, and Wakonda that I rotate every day. I do like the Mystic from Halo and use that as well. The Malibu is good but not my favorite and I now have 2 free 10 ml bottles of it. I try to rotate through all of this every day. I will try to not use the Tribeca either right before or right after the Menthol X. I will also stick with the 6 mg in strength unless I find that I am still needing more nicotine since I recently quit smoking. I did smoke about 25 to 30 cigarettes a day for 37 years!

Congrats! That's a long time! I like all those flavors and use almost all them too ha. I recently just tried mystic and enjoy it and kringles curse as a palate cleanser when switching flavors or when getting fatigue... im going from 12 to 6 mg as well... sometimes I like the 12, sometimes its too much... kinda depends ... you may have to edit your post about the nt, just a heads up, since this sub forum is pretty strict :/

If not Tribeca something very very VERY close. Because all Menthol X tasted like to me was an overly sweet slightly menthol Tribeca.

FoxdenVixen, I've tried the Aspire BDC tanks and if you just put in a new coil I found it takes vaping nearly half a tank to break the coil in, also the BDC tend to mute the flavor to me. I get more flavor from my Halo Triton tanks than I did the Aspire BDC tanks. And I love Tribeca and Menthol seX.

I have extremely wonky taste buds and it was the worse when I first quit so you maybe going through a bit of vapors tongue or your taste buds are a bit shocked from the lack of cigs. LOLOL

Also, YES, less nic will change the taste slightly on juices, some other juices, it seems to change the taste a lot to me. And I feel that smaller sample bottles seem to develop quicker in taste than larger bottles. 30 ml may need a bit longer to steep/develop and shaking them a lot seems to help.
