Question about my base

Hello guys,
1 year ago i ordered thia base
1 Liter pflanzliches Glycerin (VG) 86,5 % DAB - Dampfdorado

It says its 86.5% vg 13.5 distilled water.

I stil get quite a throathit.
Is this because of the water?
Like will water give u an bigger throathit then if it was mixed with PG?

Water doesn't cause throat hit, it just helps thin it so it's easier to wick. Pg is a flavour carrier, and the throat hit is negligible unless its 40% + or so I've been told.
Is it possible you're getting dry hits and not a throat hit?

Its also worth mentioning that most flavour base is pg, if that helps for whatever reason

I would say water does not increase throat hit. It just thins out the juice... from my experience.
Some people do claim though that it does increase TH somewhat.

My guess is no.
According to the mgf'r:
"1 liter Glycerin (VG) 86.5%, DAB quality Vegetable glycerin (VG) 86.5%, DAB quality The glycerol may be used by itself to produce a single liquid mixture or verdünnnen to liquids. In contrast to the previously offered glycerin with 99.5% of this is much easier to handle, since it is thinner. The glycerol derived from German production. Ingredients: Glycerin, Water"

The mgf'r is using a veg. glycerin but their are not telling us which vegetable it's made from. Makes a big difference in TH.
My guess, their using Palm based VG which I understand can give a TH.

I would not use such a glycerin in my juices. A while ago I tried to make juices with 10-15% water. They were too harsh to me, much harsher that 20/80 PG/VG. A little bit of water (2-5%) - OK for me.
