Hi all! Had a question about my new Nemesis. (just got it today :)) Really love it. The switch was a little chunky feeling for the first hour or so but it feels great now. I've got a Sony 18650 VTC5 2600mAh 30A and topping it off with a Kanger Aerotank (1.8 ohm) this evening. I also purchased a KFL but did not have the time to get it set up tonight. My battery is currently at 3.2 v and I was wondering how low these can be taken safely before putting them back on the charger. Anything else a new Nemesis owner should know? How do most folks know when its time to swap batteries?

Thanks!:)

3.2

When they reach 3.2 time for recharge.

Thanks folks. How long does your 18650 run before reaching 3.7-3.8? I know this would vary greatly depending on the battery/config and how much you're vaping but I'm trying to get a general idea in the event I take this out of the house for a day.

With that areotank I would guess somewhere around 1-1.5 tank fulls. It is kinda tough to say you just need to test often for a while until you can get a rhythm worked out. I run a kayfun at 1.3ohm and just change out the battery every time the tank gets filled (4.5ml). That works good for me and the battery comes out at about 3.7v. When I am dripping with a dual coil rda I can usually start to feel the weaker hits before it ever gets that low and end up charging sooner.

Thanks I'll check out the hybrid kit. Looks cool.

The hybrid kit lets you connect direct to the battery instead of dealing with the little 510 sized screw on connector;

If you get a kick for your mech, it will shut off when your battery gets too low, as well as do basic things like short circuit protection, reverse battery protection.

Well a kick doesn't really have reverse battery protection. If you put a battery in backwards with a kick you will fry the kick really quickly.

Here is an awesome tool for calculating battery safety and longevity: Battery drain | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

As for how low your battery can go, you've already gotten all of the right answers. When your battery is at its prime, you'll really enjoy it, and then as soon as the voltage drops, it just won't hit as hard. Throw it back on the charger and have a spare ready to go. No use pulling bad hits off a low battery :)

There are lots of variables. I mostly use 18350s these days (I go through about three a day with 1.3ohm coils). When I was using 2000mAh AW IMR 18650s they would last me about a day with a 1.5ohm coil. I'm a flavor chaser, not a cloud chaser, and I don't sub-ohm.

So what happens when you just keep going till the battery runs out? are you at risk? I have the Sony VTC5 30amp as well. I heard that you don't have to worry as much with these?? I hate that you'd have to carry a voltmeter around as well? and keep pulling the battery out to check

when they drop below about 2.5 they won't recharge.

if you use a kick the kick won't let them drain below 3.2

Sounds like the hybrid kit and kick might be a good idea. I don't mind carrying an extra battery but checking voltage on the go might be a bit much. I'm hoping one battery will last me through most of the day. Thanks for all the feedback.

1 should last a day. I keep 2 spares in a battery box in my backpack. Make sure to always cary spares in a battery box. These things go boom quicker than a AA if it's loose in the pocket.
