Question about PG/VG

I have a question..I hope it's okay to ask? It's about PG/VG. I had bought my PG/VG 50/50 mix from ecigexpress. Can I buy my own PG/VG and how would I mix 70/30 or 80/20? I've only ever used 50/50. I like the latest flavor I mixed but would definitely like more flavor, was reading PG would make the flavor more prominent? I think I found an excel calculator that tells me how many drops of vg to add.

Would I need to purchase both PG and VG if my Nicotine contains 100% PG I think? I have an unflavored PG Nicotine Base from ecigexpress and a 36mg Nicotine from Wizard Labs on hand, but no pure VG or PG, just 50/50 both in one bottle.

if your using 100% PG based nic Juice...all you need is the VG.......the way i do it, i buy my Nic base at 100% PG at E-Cig and i get my own VG at the Pharmacy and go from there using an E-Juice Calculator.

You can vape pure PG and it is more flavorful but it produces less clouds. It's actually better for vaping in public and not drawing attention to yourself.

I take the simple approach to DIY. I mix 50/50 so I buy 36mg nic VG and 0mg PG, mix them equally together to get 18mg. From that base, I'll mix up 100ml and add 10 to 20ml of flavoring for a total of 120ml knowing my nic target will be a little lower than 18mg.

I have been curious about this myself. I am not a normal cig smoker, so nicotine strength for me is very low, so I like the clouds I get.

I just re read what I typed and it made no sense lol...I like the higher VG for the clouds. And I don't smoke cigs.

you can mix it any way or % you want........i take the simple approach also usually getting 215ml of Base @ 36nic @100% PG and cut it in half with VG, winding up with 430ml of 50/50 mix @ 18mg of nic to work with....if you use an E-Juice Calculator you can figure any % of PG/VG mix you want.

then apply your Flavor recipe % accordingly with the calculator

I think I figured out the PG/VG..can someone look at this and verify? Not sure if my recipe will paste. I want to end up with 6mg at the end. I don't smoke that much, but enough to want to get away from smoking. I forgot if I put that in my initial post. So, if I still use the 100% PG nic, I'd just need to buy the VG? The recipe won't let me go below 50% PG though, not trying. I want 70/30 and it still shows me needing PG?

(looking at your calculation) if your nic mix is already PG all you need to add is the 240ml of VG...otherwise looks ok.

VG is readily available at walmart or any other retailer with pharmacy/vitamins section. you can literally hop in your car and go buy some within minutes. I've only bought the one from walmart. i found it in the vitamin aisle in a small clear bottle

i havent experimented with PG because some pg liquids make my mouth feel like its got an STD. mind you, not every pg eliquid ive tried has caused this reaction but id rather not roll the dice so i just stay away from it whenever possible

assuming you already have flavored elquid AND/OR flavorings, and your nic is PG, then all you would really need is some VG

at any rate, DIY is driven purely by trial and error. you'll have to work at it til you find something you're happy with.
