Question about steeping and Nic strength.

Even though ive been vaping for nearly 4 years ive only just took the plunge into mixing my own juice.

I bought some Liberty Flights 27mg PG nic mainly as ive never handled liquid over 24mg and wanted to do a few test runs before going for the full strength mixing. I was told by their customer service it is 100% PG so i used this recipe/formula.

End result was going to be 70/30 PG/VG 18mg (2ml)

PG Nic Base - 27 drops
VG - 12 Drops
Flavour (F'arts Forest Fruits) 2 Drops (4%)

I mixed up 2 other flavours separately with this formula but when i vape it i feel slightly buzzed like ive vaped a higher nic than normal. I vape 18mg strength exclusively

I havent let the juice steep but did give it a very aggressive shaking and was wondering if the cutting down of strength happens after the shakeup or does this occur while steeping. I also wondered that because i have only vaped premix that, because they were mixed a while ago before i purchased does their nic drop below advertised strength like an 18mg dropping to a 16mg over time.

I may try cutting a fresh mix down to 12 or 14mg and see tomorrow but thought i would check it's not a steeping issue beforehand.

PS i love the auto text save feature on these forums i accidentally rebooted mid way through that last sentence and was able to restore even though i hadnt submitted the thread.

Mixing juice by the drop is not always accurate. If you get 2 or 3 syringes to measure with you will come out with a more accurate version of what you are mixing. Also there's a small proggie named Ejuicemeup that should be of some help with ratios and portions. Vape on.

Add 4 more drops of VG, leave bottle open for 24 hours, try again!

Ill try your suggestions and i allready used ejuicemeup to get that formula its a very good little program.

I mixed up a batch of 12 mg last night and let it steep over night i just tried it along with the 18mg i made earlier yesterday.

They are both way too strong still although the 12 isnt as buzzy its still definitely not 12mg. I even used 2.5ml syringes and used the exact measurement (well i did 0.9ml as i cant do 0.89ml but you get the idea) that ejuicemeup said.

I could be completely wrong but could i have been sent a mislabelled 54mg bottle It would explain why the 18mg i mixed out is blowing my head off a good 24 hours after mixing. Ill try mixing a batch as if it is 54mg and see how strong it is when cut to 18mg. If im wrong ill get a weaker 9mg using the same formula i tried for 27mg base.

Steeping was new to me, so from what I gather...those mixes that arent fully tasting well yet should be aired out which is what I'm doing at the moment. Steeped for 3 days so far from MBV. Gonna see what they are like this weekend.
