You should be OK charging your TC 40W with that charger. It matches the 1A that the iStick likes to be charged at,

No problem continuing to use the battery or charging it if it's at 50%...or any other percentage. Though the battery can have a longer life if you don't let it run down to 0% (empty) every time. I recommend unplugging the battery as soon as it says it's charged.

    Okay, thanks!

The eGrip is a bit weird. Most people told that I have to let it go to "Low Power" or "0%" and then charge it. Otherwise it isn't good for the battery life they told me.

But it's good to know that I can safely charge it when I want.

You don't have to run any of our lithium-ion battery powered vaping devices down to zero percent before recharging it. @Papillon61 is right, that's only a recommendation for NiCd or (perhaps) NiMH batteries. In fact, running down a lithium-ion battery to zero percent before recharging actually shortens its life because you are using up some of the limited number of times you can charge/discharge the battery before it dies.

I just bought an iStick TC 40W myself and love it...enjoy!
