Hi,

Just received 2 Shorty drip tips from Super T, purchased in the UK at C9V. One in Satin (a gift for a friend, which he liks a lot!) also one for myself in the polished finish.

Very nice and well machined tips as you'd expect from Super T!

My question is about the finish... Is it supposed to be a dark finish, like the one I got? The pics online I have seen didn't look this way (expected a more 'mirror like' polished finish).

See pics below...

Don't get me wrong, I do like the drip tip, was just hoping for a bit more shine.

Even the top of the provari looks alot darker then it should be...hmmmmmm

Yep, good catch. That Provari top is stainless steel too and the same color as the tip. Polished stainless steel is a darker color then polished aluminum and the contrast really shows up in the picture, almost making the stainless steel look gold colored in the photo.

OK fair comment about the Provari, although I wouldn't call the top cap polished anyway.

SO here is a pic with it on top of the polished SS DID Atomizer....

Any thoughts?

Yes, the DID you have there is polished more. Most of our products we polish to a 600-800 grit which won't give you a mirror finish, shiny, but no where near a mirror finish. If you want to make it a mirror finish, most any of the commercially available metal polishes and a soft cloth with do or a buffing wheel will really save some time vs hand polishing it.

Thanks for the reply David, but it does the say the below on your website. Which I guess is why I was expecting it to pop like the DID does.

510/901 "Shorty" Wide MouthTMContoured T-Tip available in Stainless Steel or Aluminum and polished to a mirror like finish!

I do see that on the site and I see it also says "polished" finish (which would be more accurate) and i sincerely apologize that yours is not to a "mirror" finish and i will edit the site as the finish's can vary a bit from "shiny" to "mirror" and i don't want to dis-appoint.

I can pernsonally polish that tip for you if you would like (i'm out of shorty contours otherwise i'd just exchange for you) or you can polish it as previously described (if you are into mods and tips, its not bad to have polishing gear on hand anyway as items do dull and scratch over time anyway).

Thanks David, and good on you for changing the website. I doubt i'll return it for exchange though, as I'm international the cost to send it tracked to USA just isnt worth it. And besides, it sounds like a replacement could be just the same anyway? But thank you for the offer.

You can also return it for a full refund if you would like. Just a random replacement could be the same, but i was going to personally polish it for you, so whatever you'd like, we'll make it right.

I'm not sure what process Super-T uses to do shiny, but my shiny T-Tips vary quite a bit with the shininess. Some are almost mirror, some less so. None are dark though.

My two T-tips, short and regular contoured are polished to a mirror finish.. My Velocity T-tip is not mirror polished and does have a darker look to it.......
