For the most part, yes. Mod safety is important when it comes to mechanical mods. Ohm out your coils and use a quality cell. If you're unsure, go to your local shop and have them explain the safety aspect to you, and inspect the mod and build. Don't take someone's word, unless they're credible. While the chances of a "catastrophic failure" are slim, always vape safe. Although I don't mean to be rude, if you're asking these questions, you should be using a device with circuit protection. When it comes to vaping on a mechanical mod, you need to be aware of the possible safety issues and how to proceed if something unfavorable happens. Educate yourself and ask questions, that's the best way to learn. Stay safe.

Although I'm not very familiar with that mod, for the most part, most commercially manufactured boxes have some sort of "internal" or "circuit protection." If you have that available for use, I would highly recommend that over the mechanical mod for the time being. Educate yourself on mechanical mod safety and battery safety, and then move up to that at a later time. I know from first-hand experience that mechanical mods can have issues if you're not fully aware of the function. I'd hate to see something happen to a fellow vaper. If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to help to the best of my ability.

According to my calcs that should work pretty well providing the build goes to plan and you've checked the impedance. It's always good practice to check your build with a meter and/or regulated mod first, but it should be good on the mech, if a little on the cool side.

If your not confident with the wicking, bear in mind that less is more with cotton in this power range. Just enough that doesn't callapse under the weight of the juice is where you want to be.
