1: no it is not expensive.
2: yes you can diy without pg
3: no pg does not cause popcorn lung

PG doesn't cause popcorn lung. Diacetyl is the ingredient. You can buy flavors without it, a lot of them.

Confused about diacetyl? You should be | vaping.com <---excellent read

If you're thinking DIY I would suggest reading as much as you can. You will use 3 or 4 times the vg as pg, because when you add the flavors (most are in pg base) the ratio of PG in the juice goes up by the percentage of flavoring.

I would suggest checking these sites for recipes and making a shopping list. Different manufacturers CANNOT be substituted, you must use exactly what the recipe calls for.

Looked at most all the links, lol already accomplished everything I had to do today. I think it is define the way to go because most of the flavor vendors use natural extracts in their stuff as opposed to buying artificial flavoring,and will prove to be around the same price I am paying for juice a month. Plus in the long run once I get it down pat it will be cheaper.i am going to do more research and maybe start in the next month or two.thanks again

Just to give you an idea on the costs for DIY'ing from my little corner of the world (approximate USD values):

500 ml VG $18
500 ml PG $10
TFA flavors $6 each (15 ml)

Say I would make some juice which has 3 flavor components at 10%, 5% and 1% ... 120 ml of juice would cost me just a little over $10.

Comparing that to commercial juice: about $20~30 per 30ml bottle

DIY = $10 for 120 ml
Commercial = $80~120 for the same 120 ml

So yeah ... that's a lot of savings.
