I keep mine in my breast pocket, or the side pocket in my jacket (where it more often than not lies on its side)--> no leaks.

That said, as mentioned earlier, don't squonk and lay it on its side. It won't typically leak by itself unless a piece of fabric lies flush against the airhole, then it acts like a wick!! It's a quick way to find out how much liquid there is in a squonk--the leaked area was approx. 1.5 inches in diameter :D

If you squonk, and then don't want to vape, leave the Reo upright for a few seconds to give the liquid a chance to return back in the bottle.

So i'm seriously considering a Reo Grand after getting annoyed with my Ego batt + carto tank setup, and I have a question for you guys about these things.

Does the juice well just feed juice right back into the bottle, or does it well up in there until you clean it up?

I'd like something I can haphazardly jam into my pocket or backpack and know with 100% confidence that i'm not going to get juice everywhere, so i'm wondering if i'd need a drip shield with one of these.

Get a REO Grand with the RM2. It feeds juice into the bottle...excess just goes back down the tube back into the bottle. Mine's pocket kept when I'm not vaping it all day. Works like a dream!

I have one Mini 2.0 (I have a bunch of REOs) and a particular RM2 that leaks into the drip well and even overflows some. I put the o-ring that comes with RM2 in well and that did not stop it, then a second one, two in well, and it did not stop it. Few days ago I took those out and put a thicker o-ring, like the one for the 6ml REO bottle caps in alone and all leaking has stopped.

There are a very few other REOnauts who have had some leaking although it is rare.

Honolulu, Hi
So my Grand came in the mail today.

Unfortunately, it looks like the 510 connector on this thing is botched. The brand new EM510 atty I ordered with it would not thread onto it (goes on 1.5 turns before getting stuck. I've confirmed that it threads onto my Ego batt with no problems though). An Inferno LR atty i've used on the ego also won't thread on. I have however managed to get an SLB LR atty and a smoktech dual coil tank carto to go on. The carto goes on without trouble, while the atty goes on a little stiff.

The connector is quite clearly crooked though. I can see without anything on it, that one end is raised up while the other end is flush. I'm assuming this isn't a "feature" of the device...

I'm guessing the ....ty threading isn't his fault since i'm assuming he doesn't make the connectors himself. The crookedness is annoying however.

To reiterate, the carto and atty sit flush with the crooked connector. Will be contacting Reo promptly.

My RM2 leaks while hubs' does not. Personally I believe it's because I over squonk on the regular and not due to the RM2 itself. Hubs has vaped with mostly ego batteries until his recent purchase of a vamo that he thought was fantastic, then I bought him a grand and now he plans on selling everything else because we are expecting his second grand which will be his special 1 in a day or 2. I was a sceptical hard sell, then in desperation as a last ditch effort to save me from any more carto frustration I bought my grand and I haven't used anything else since! For him he said he vaped to quit smoking, not to enjoy it so he put up with the ego' s, now he actually enjoys it and he LOVES building coils. And not to be outdone by his wife he skipped right to dual coils! lol

I left my reos in a hot car for a few hours and they seemed to have...ahem... squonked themselves. Had a little leaking from the air hole. Other than that, you have to go out of your way to make them leak.

you wouldn't believe how much glycerin expands under heat

lost about 7 ml out of a 250 ml bottle by putting a 50/50 blend is just boiled water and leaving it unattended

and to start dropping that 7 ml you still need to expand enough to reach the top of the bottle (they always leave a decent amount of air in after all)

Honolulu, Hi
hmmm, no bueno. I'm sure Rob will sort you out quickly tho.

I sure hope so. It's such an attractive looking device, i'm so disappointed that i'm not actually using it right now!

After threading the carto on and off a few more times to show the crookedness, it looks like all of my old attys are threading on without a hitch now. I'm guessing maybe the diameter of pilot hole was a tight tolerance (or maybe a size too small?), so the threads had to loosen up a bit. The EM510 I bought from him still won't fit though, again perhaps because the threads on that are still fresh. and not broken in.

I'm so tempted to just say screw it and use the thing as it is, since now the only real problem is with that one atty and the cockeyed connector. But a part of me feels like for 144 USD, this shouldn't even be a problem. I'll be very sad to have to wait for shipping both ways + lead time on the repair before I get to have the thing in my hands again :(

I wonder if that connector is a press fit, or if it's threaded and either the threads on the connector or the mod came out the door crooked. If it's a press fit it seems like it'd be something I could fix myself...

If you haven't already, send Rob (redeyedancer) a PM, shoot him an e-mail or call him. He doesn't always catch every post in every thread, so he may or may not run across this one. He'll definitely make it right, anybody here who owns a Reo will have no doubt about that.

I sent him an email at the same time as the post :)

That's would have disappointed me too, Sinkoman. I would have phoned immediately and demanded a new one in the post whilst I returned the defective one if it could not be otherwise sorted. But then I'm impatient. All the best with this, keep us updated.

PS: Dhomes - love your new avatar, much more attractive than that ugly guy you had there previously:D.
