Honolulu, Hi
So i'm seriously considering a Reo Grand after getting annoyed with my Ego batt + carto tank setup, and I have a question for you guys about these things.

Does the juice well just feed juice right back into the bottle, or does it well up in there until you clean it up?

I'd like something I can haphazardly jam into my pocket or backpack and know with 100% confidence that i'm not going to get juice everywhere, so i'm wondering if i'd need a drip shield with one of these.

With an RM2, excess liquid ends up back in the bottle lickity-split. I've never had any excess juice end up in the catch cup. The REO and RM2 are like peanut butter and jelly. Milk and cookies. Mashed potatoes and gravy. They just work together flawlessly.

It's extremely pocket-friendly.

I modded a cheapo Fasttech ERA clone to bottom-feed yeaterday. With it, I get some juice collecting around the 510 connection in the catch cup, but not enough to cause any issues.

With an atomizer or cartos there is little to no juice in the drip well. If you flood them then some might collect there for a bit. But when you vape it gets sucked back up into the atty or cartos.

A lot of people keep the REO in a pocket or purse and experience no leaking. No drip shield needed!

Make sure you don't squonk before putting your REO in a pocket. If you vape till the atty or cartos is almost dry you will be fine.

With the RM2 the juice slips back down into the bottle after squonking. I have not had a leak yet.

I left my reos in a hot car for a few hours and they seemed to have...ahem... squonked themselves. Had a little leaking from the air hole. Other than that, you have to go out of your way to make them leak.

Try a Provari w/tank and carto in a hot car for a few hours -- I did a LOT of cursing. Thank goodness I stumbled upon our beloved REO mods.

The well is to catch juice that drips from disposable cartomizer and atomizer air holes. As noted above, most of that typically gets sucked back into where it came from. The Reomizer 2.0 (RM2) and other Reo-compatible side air vent rebuildable atomizers don't need the juice well. When you release the bottle after squonking, it sucks excess juice back into the bottle and feed tube.

REO Grand + Reomizer 2.0 = Vaping Nirvana!

I've never had any leaking whatsoever. If you live in a really hot environment, there may be some auto-feeding issues but there's a piece provided to take care of that if needed. Also, even in the case of auto-feeding, it never actually gets anywhere...just may flood the atty a little. I keep my Grand in my pocket all day at work, including my briefcase when I'm travelling and have never had it cause any problems.

Honestly, the design and function is top tier.

With a carto, you have 100% no juice leakage issues. With an RM2, you are going to have a much better vape and unless you store it inverted or squonk and then immediately lay it on its side before you have had the chance to let the juice run back into the bottle with the air hole laying towards the direction of gravity, it isn't going to leak either. I have never carried any of my mods upside down or on their sides, so I haven't had any issues with leakage on a Reo with an RM2. Actually, come to think of it, I carry my Reo in the front breast pocket of my coveralls all the time and the pocket is huge, so the Reo tends to lay on its side in my pocket and it hasn't leaked yet. I carry it in a front pocket of a Maxpedition bag that I have back and forth to work in my truck, and it it oriented so that it sits upright and have had no leaking issues.

The Grand is extremely pocket friendly - even more so than my Provari with a carto tank. I.e. it actually fits in a pocket without wanting to fall out.

You are going to find a lot of Reo zealots here, myself definitely included, but there is a reason that so many of us have multiple Reos. Coming from an Ego, it is going to blow your mind how great they work and how much they improve your juices and the overall vaping experience in general.

The only downside to the Reo with an RM2 is that it basically makes it impossible to stealth vape due to massive cloud formation.

I used to have to hold my Provari w/ carto tank upside down when getting into a hot car to prevent the flooding. With the Reo and an RM2, I don't have to participate in such summertime PV gymnastics.

I live in the mountains of TN. (Smoky mountains). My wife and I ride motorcycles a LOT. Last weekend, we went on a ride that was over 200 miles. There was a great deal of changing of altitude in that ride, as we were going up and down the mountains. (One of the roads was called the Dragon's Back. It was a stretch of over 30 miles and big trucks are not allowed on the road. It was funny seeing the sign that said "Turn Around NOW".) I have a Reo Grand, she has 2 minis and a VVG. Throughout the entire trip, there was not a single drop of juice leak out any of the Reos we have. It was nice to go on a 200 mile (9 hour) trip with nothing but our Reos. No juice bottles, no batteries, nothing but the Reos.

Reos do not leak. I have not seen another mod that would handle these roads (even with a RM2) without leaking. It has killed the DNA20 chip in my Bogger Box more than once. (Bogger boxes leak) The VMOD leaks normally (based on what I have read in this forum).
