Check out Cignot's video on adjusting the wick for the tank atties; saved me a lot of frustration. I've purchased and fiddled with 6 of these so far, some need the wick pushed back a little, some are fine out of the box....

YouTube - eGo-t wick adjustment

geez ida gave up after the second and tried something else.

Somewhere High.
I've had this same problem with my ego tanks as well. I did lower the wick down about 2 mm on a couple of them, which seems to work. The biggest thing about the ego-t system besides this issue is that I'd fill the tank, get down on the level over time and then lots of leakage through the air holes near the threads. They worked and kept me off of analogs, though I've moved onto a different pv I'm really happy with. I've used the ultrasonic cleaner to clean up the ego-t atty's, and washed out the tanks I've got. Once in a while I will use them when a new flavor of juice arrives I want to try.
