i notice sometimes when a battery dies and i go to switch and put the new battery on, the carto can sometimes taste a bit burnt. when that happens i would put some more juice in and it would go away but on a few cartos i have it doesnt seem to i think. maybe im just paranoid lol. i dont want to throw out a carto if its not really bad. do any of u guys have this problem when switching batteries? have u ever been able to fix it by adding juice? does the burnt taste sorta hurt ur throat when ur vaping it? sorry im a bit of a noob . still trying to figure all this out

One of the easiest ways to check a carto is simply to remove the end cap and look at the filler material.

If it looks anywhere near dry, add as needed. You might also make it a rule of thumb to top off a carto with each battery change.

That's the reason I love my clearos... totally visible and no guess work.

Your carto probably isn't completely empty, but a fresh battery has a little more "oomph" than one that's almost dead.
A good method is: when you run a batt down, take that carto off and set it aside for refilling. Fresh batt + fresh carto = vaping happiness.
Once you have your battery down to about half of it's charge, you can try the depleted carto on it; but if you're serious about not burning your cartos, refill them before they need it.

Ah I absolutely LOVE the first 10 or so pulls off of a fresh battery with a fresh cartomizer. Definitely running hotter than usual.

Around an hour into vaping, my batteries are always just so damn weak and the vapor, while being good tasting and all, is basically freezing cold. I always change out constantly (Around 5-6 times a day, new batt and new carto)

Hopefully the bigger batteries run hotter for awhile longer :)

Or maybe even a battery that runs at 4.0-4.2 volts... (Hint hint!)

I would definitely recommend the regular passthrough or the 1300 X2 when they are back in stock ....should solve your charging issues....

Sounds like you might be ready for a variable voltage set-up.....

All in due time... I am definitely going to get a dedicated home PV for when I'm just lounging about. Leaning heavily towards a PoVari... With Smokeless Image clearomizers (Or whatever other greatness they have!).

Until then it'll just be the fat battery and clearomizers from SI for now!

if you are considering VV i would try to go to a local vapers meet up so you can see a lot of the devices :p
