question on carto filling

since i got my kit iv been trying to decide the proper time to fill a carto after it goes down a bit. i use the condom method to fill it the first time then when i start to think its going down i fill it again regularly but i dont think iv ever actually emptied a carto all the way down cause i want them to last. i just want to make sure im not over filling cause i dont here any slurp like sounds after filling. what are the signs of over filling? im guessing i would probably know if iv done it? any tips are appreciated.

Overfilling a regular carto will result in poor vapor production, nicquid in your mouth, leaking from the bottom of the carto and blockage when inhaling.

Gurgling and little vapor are the signs it's overfilled. If you unscrew it, clean out the connector on your PV and blow lightly through the carto into a tissue, you're all set. Sometimes overfilling from the top a bit is a good thing on an older carto - when you blow it out you'll see darker old juice come out and end up with a slightly better draw. Better than the burning taste that tells you you're a little late on topping off!

I just started this new thing this morning:
At night, I take the 4-5 cartos I used up during the day, fill condoms about 80% with liquid, dunk the cartos and go to bed (like I have been doing). But this morning, instead of blowing them out, I pulled the cartos off the condoms about halfway, then shook them about 10 times like thermometers and wiped off the posts. Ahhhh! No gurgling, no spitting. No muss, no fuss, and any excess liquid is in the condom, ready for the next fill!
