question on carts

Well I just got my Joye 510 with the manual battery yesterday and couldn't be happier. The unit produces a massive amount of vapor, I have control over when it turns on, and it has a very nice throat hit. I ordered some menthol juice to get me started, blank carts, and a usb charger as well, but my problem is this.
The carts that came with the 510 are reg tobacco flavored, but they don't seem to be lasting long at all. I will pop on it, give it maybe about 30-40 puffs over the course of 2 hours or so, then it starts to give that burning taste and produces almost no vapor. So I switch out the cartridges and put a new one in and then its producing vapor like mad and tastes great. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought they were supposed to last at least 70 puffs if not more? Maybe these carts just suck since they were shipped with the unit? any ideas?
Thanks for the help.

A lot of people have been misled about cartridge life on electronic cigarettes. I've read places that the cartridge life for an e-cig is 160 puffs, or 10-15 cigarettes. Unfortunately, you are going to find that no cartridge you use will ever last anywhere near that long. Most people say that their cartridges last for no more than 3-4 cigarettes worth. In fact, there are many people on this forum who will tell you that 30-40 puffs is more than they get out of a 510 cartridge. On a side note, the 510 produces a massive amount of vapor, which means that it requires more liquid than other models. I'm not sure the difference is that great, but the 510 is known to be a juice hog.

I've done the math several times because my perception refuses to match reality, I get about 4.5 analogs worth out of a prefilled 510 cart, that's right in the 40 puff range mentioned above.

The thing about it is we vape differently than we smoke. For me an analog drag lasts almost a full second, a vape drag takes 2-3 seconds.

With an analog I'm done with it in five or six minutes and it's usually 10 minutes before I think to have another. With an ecig I don't have any idea when I'm "done" except when the cart dries up and then I'm most definitely NOT done. I may plow through a cart in half an hour, but that's because I'm vaping heavier than I used to smoke.

I get the same from my 510 with the pre-filled carts... pretty normal for those. Do save them, you can refill with the juice of your choice. Clean them and recap for refill later. If you havent watched Spikey's video on vaping you should... she shows you how to refill, drip, etc. it's a very good video! All pre-filled carts are going to be expensive and they do not last anywhere as long as the seller claims... they need to quit lying about that crap IMO... and yea 510's do suck up that juice but you gotta love 'em :p
