So I've run through my stock of nautilus BVC coils, last night I dry burned all of them until I could see the coil glowing red with no residual vapor/smoke coming from the coil and rinsed them under very hot water. They've been sitting overnight and there's no sign of any moisture - are these safe to install and vape on now or how long do I need to wait (in case there's residual moisture I can't detect still in the wick)?

Hmmm you may be out of luck. You should be ok to put them back in, but ive heard several people say they arent nearly as good after cleaning.. so defibitely let us know how they do.

I gave my mini Nautilus a good cleaning and loaded some fresh juice with one of the cleaned coils. It isn't nearly as pure tasting as a fresh coil, but its "ok".

To me using these heads are just like when I used my cartomizers in my carto tanks. Starts out wonderful but the draw gets tighter and tighter. I have tried cleaning them but it doesn't really help. I wish they would come out with another type of head to use in these. The regular Aspire heads that came with it wasn't really good.

If you have to dry burn a coil, it already has reduced efficiency, but the BVC coils are safe to dry burn.

To answer the real OP's question, 24 hours wait after rinsing should be plenty since the BVC use ceramic fiber as wicking material. I'd up that time to 36-48 hours on coils that use other materials than ceramic fiber or steel mesh.

How I clean BVC coils:

1-Rinse under hot, hot water in both directions for 2-3 minutes.(I currently use this http://www.searsoutlet.com/1300-Wat...-/d/product_details.jsp?pid=25107&mode=seeAll
2-Pour a small cap of everclear, drop the coil in the cap.
3-Pick up cap containing everclear and place against my palm and shake
vigourously for 15-20 seconds.
4-Use a Dentek brush (it fits perfectly inside the vertical coil) to remove gunk.
5-Do a light dry burn till no smoke
6-This to clean out the dry burn gunk again http://www.searsoutlet.com/1300-Wat...-/d/product_details.jsp?pid=25107&mode=seeAll
7-Back to dry burn till just barely red (to dry) and you are instantly ready to
vape your lungs out !!! No waiting
