Question Regarding eGo-C Twist + Kanger Protank II Voltage Settings

Hey guys, I'm new to this vaping stuff and have a few questions regarding this setup. I'm planning on getting this starter kit (Joyetech eGo-C Twist - Kanger ProTank Series II Starter Kit - Vaporfusion) but I after doing a bit of research, I want to know whether or not these two pieces of hardware are good for each other. It says on the site that the Protank II has a resistance of 2.5ohm, but I wasn't too sure what the voltage settings on the ego twist would be at. And would the voltage setting lower the battery life or damage the battery at all? Also, I've read that people buy additional coils, why is that? Thanks.

They go quite well together.
The Twist means you can ADJUST the voltage, to suit different coil resistance, and suit different juice. Yes - standard coils will range from 1.8 to 2.4, and they're not perfect - a lot of 1.8's come out of the box at 2. And some juice TASTES better or makes better vapor at slightly higher or lower voltage - so you turn the little dial til you're happy.

You will get a "burning" taste if you go too high.

The coils wear out. You can clean them, and keep using them, but eventually they die.
And so they're easily replaced, and cost like $1.25.
Once you've tried a couple, and decide if you prefer 1.8 or 2.4 or whatever, order a couple boxes.
Or if you like that kind of thing, you can learn to open the little thing up, and replace the wire and wick inside.
It's too tiny for me - I rebuilt a couple, then decided I'd rather buy them - now I make my own juice instead...

The beauty of a VV battery is that you can "dial in" your voltage on battery (twist) based on the ohms of your delivery device (clearomizer)

Look at this, print it out. You want to stay in green.. (battery settings would be on left side (V) and delivery device (ohms) at top. Dessert and tobacco vapes, people like more wattage maybe 6 -9 watts (green), for fruits and lighter vapes maybe 5watts(green)

anything in yellow will give too weak a vape, anything in pink/red is taxing your battery and/or not safe
