Not sure where else to put this one... but say for a 401/510.. the threads are backwards compatible. (401 atty connects to a 510 atty, and same with the batteries)

Would one be able to make a super cheap passthru for a 510 using a 401 USB charger? Or, vice versa for a 401 passthru using a 510 charger?

I just checked my 401 usb charger and I'm getting 4.2 volts from it. Would adding a switch (for obvious reasons) be enough to transform it to a decent passthrough or would the electrics inside not be able to handing the amperage?

Perhaps adding a DPDT switch that way you can still use it as a charger on one side, and flip the switch to the other side to run to a momentary switch to use as a passthru. I'm sure you can build a connector box to house the switchs in, considering the charger cords aren't very long.

USB Hub --> Box with both switches --> charger/passthru combination

Scratch that idea. I was just looking at my 401 charger to see if I can take it apart. Its only rated for 100mA. :( It was worth dreaming though!
