Question to VS customers

Let me start by stressing this is BY NO MEANS a complaint about Vapor Station.

I'm very new to vaping & I ordered some stuff from VS and when I called with questions Eric took the time to answer. And when my impatience got the best of me & I emailed him a week later, he was still very professional (and patient with me) and emailed me back right away.

My question to everyone here is, when VS ships stuff to you, and you track it, is it common to stay in the status of "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" for several days?

The reason I ask is because when I googled that status, I saw that several people (in other forums for other types of products) were saying things about that status meaning that the order was caught in customs & could be delayed for many months -- and in some cases never delivered at all.

I figure all of you here are experienced in receiving orders from VS, and would know if this status is common, or if I should be worried.

Again, this is NOT meant to be a bad reflection on VS. They shipped my order out very fast, and if the order took another 6 or 7 days, it would still be well within the timeframe (14 days) that VS says that it should be in.

Anyway...any light that any of you could shed on this for me would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not even sure what the deal is myself. All orders shipped out on December 31st have been held in customs since January 02, 2010. 3 of 32 orders shipped on the December 30th have the same reading. Some of them don't even show as having been received yet into NYC ISC (Customs department).

As this is likely the same airport as the security debacle last week, that might explain the delay.

I will keep you posted as soon as possible. My guess is it will clear customs before the weekend. One would also guess that as there is certainly a massive parcel backup now, that all current and pending orders will arrive at another customs port.

I'm really sorry for the wait, CArnold, and anyone else having to deal with the current delays. As I said, I will definitely keep everyone posted when I find something out.

I've ordered from VS a couple of times in November and December, The status shown on tracking was definitely not accurate. Both of my orders were received 5 days from the date the order was placed though tracking showed something to the effect of "details of parcel received" by USPS. I think as Eric stated the current security breaches at our airports are slowing things down.
 
Maybe you all can shed some light on my situation, as I'm starting to get a wee bit nervous. Here's the breakdown.

Ordered a bunch of stuff from Vapor Station on Jan 13th, early in the afternoon. Some stuff says "Backorder Jan 14th", but as it's not Jan 14th yet, I figure it's meant that these things will be back in stock on the 14th. Most of my order, however, is in stock.

I recently switched password/profile managing programs (from Roboform to LastPass); when the time comes to place my order, I accidentally use Roboform instead, which fills my CC# with information that is no longer valid. As soon as I submit the order, I get a message saying "Your payment was declined", and realize my mistake, but I'm not asked to re-submit payment information for something that actually works. I'm not sure what to do, so I call the phone number displayed at the top of the website, and get voicemail. I left a message explaining what happened, and Eric actually writes me back that night telling me that there was a problem with my payment, and that he'll call me the next day.

I do get a phone call the next day (the 14th), but it's at 10 am. I work nights, so I'm not awake when the call comes. I called back later that afternoon, got voicemail again. Left a message, and tried calling back a couple times over the day to see if I'd ever get a real person. No luck.

On the 15th, I write Eric back, apologizing for missing his call, and provide my correct credit card information. I tried calling a couple of times later on that day, to see if my order had been fixed, but just kept getting voicemail.

On the 16th, I check my order status to see if everything's all right now, and my order has disappeared from my "track orders" page at VaporStation. Not a sign of it anywhere, and I don't know why.

I re-ordered most of the original order, taking great care to avoid anything that was on backorder (everything that said "Backorder Jan 14th" when I placed my original order on the 13th is still out of stock.) My payment was accepted, and the order still says "completed", but I'm getting a little nervous about not hearing back from anyone after multiple phone messages and an email. I don't know what happened to my original order, and I don't want my card to be charged.. but so far I can't get anyone to get back to me.

I figured the forums were a good place to air my concerns.

Note : I'm not freaking out that my order hasn't shipped yet or anything like that - it's only been 5 days since the original one, of course! I just don't know why my original order disappeared off into the ether, and why I can't seem to get anyone to contact me back. Just looking for a little reassurance is all. Thank you for your time. :)

have you tried pm'ing eric here? I know the minor problems I had were handled immediately by him directly as me emails to VS in UK went unanswered. Eric has been fantastic with customer service. Best of luck I believe eric will get to the bottom of the issue for you. I'm not sure if the number your calling is a texas exchange I believe that's were Eric works out of.

The order you initially placed was unsuccessful so I personally deleted it from the database. Your most recent order is in the system, has been packaged, and will be shipped out in about 12 hours.

I know who you are from the "phone tag" comment. My internet has been horrible lately, and as my Customer Service line is net-based, it's been rather hard to get a hold of me (not to mention stay on the line with me more than 2 minutes as it was cutting off randomly).

However, the phone/internet situation has been sorted and everything is taken care of. Don't worry, darlin', you weren't charged twice. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a bell.

my experience in ireland has been great with vs....i ordered and got my parcel 3 days later...im not quite sure how it managed to get here so fast considering im a whole plane flight away but delighted it did....

same thing on my second order....5 days in the height of snow/ice/xmas delays!!!

also i wanna just note that i tried another brand of juice today thats supposed to be no.1 and better than the rest and side by side i would put vs juice in the same league....great flavor and vapor/throat hit...ive tried about 1/2-2/3 of their flavors and find them all excellent : o)

i meant to write this in another thread on the vs forum but as im about to dash i just hadta add it here for now : o)
