Middle of nowhere
My name is Eugene. My son got me started on e-cigs around Christmas.
I enjoy it but have not quit analogs,as y'all call them, just yet. Cut down a HOLE lot tho.

My question is what is this steeping I read about?

I have ordered a lot of supplies from a few vendors and when they all arrive I will surely have more questions.

Will give prompts to Got Vapes. Fast shipping and the juice he sent me as a sample was right on. My son gave me a sample from Freedom USA and it was great too. I also have a order in from them. Not here yet. They seem to be a little slower than Got Vapes.
Look forward to reading more and asking more questions.

Steeping is nothing more than letting the juice sit for a couple of days (or a couple of weeks) until the flavor mellows. Lots of the vendors mix when it is ordered, and some flavors need some time to be right. So, try the juice that you get, if you don't like it, set it aside in a cool dark place and try it again a little later.

Steeping works with some liquids. For example, I got a 10ml bottle of 8mg, 80/20 PG/VG English Toffee liquid from Bluemist Vaping. When I first opened the bottle when it arrived it was...scary. It reeked of melted butter and alcohol. I was like, I'm not going to vape that right now. I let it sit for a few days and the flavors have mellowed out tremendously. It has a light, buttery flavor to it and produces a fluffy vapor. That is the wonder of steeping.

ETA: Oh! And I forgot about my banana split flavor. When it first came it tasted of nothing but banana Runts. Gave it about a week and this nutty, chocolate flavor with a hint of candied cherries comes through as well as the banana.

Welcome!

I mix my own juice, and I hafta say that the flavor does seem to come out more about 48-72 hours after I mix it up. It really shouldn't, I know, since I'm just adding nicotine and more PG to the flavor base... but I swear it does. I'm no chemistry major or anything, just an amateur mad scientist... maybe something happens on the molecular level with the nicotine?

Or maybe I'm just nuts.
