I'm sorry to ask this here, I wanted to start a new topic but the forum wont let me for some weird reason. I have been smoking tangiers tobacco which has a .5% nicotine concentration and usually smoke it when I get home from work for a few hours. I'm not chainsmoking, I just leave the hookah lit so I can take a puff every min or so. I have been smoking tangiers tobacco now for about 3 years and I am addicted. Although since I don't smoke at work or in the warning I go through a bit of a nicotine fit all day till I get home and I dont like it. :( I also don't feel as healthy as I was before I started smoking and I want to start feeling better and begin vaping. At least while I'm on the road to giving up nicotine I can at least give up tobacco for good.

Now .5% nicotine concentration may not sound like a lot but when you are smoking 30 grams of tobacco at a time for an hour straight, it really ends up adding to a lot. I want an affordable e-cig that has the best options available. I want something that everyone can recommend me purchase and has the best mods or availability of mods and so on. So please, will you all help me?

This is my biased opinion as it is the only e-cig that I own and, at this point, I have no interest in switching to another type but the Joye 510 (Titan, Yeti, etc.) is great. You can get a box-free kit from cignot.com for about $35.00. That's an amazing deal and you don't really need the box. It has no purpose other than to recycle as box to wrap a Christmas present in.

Also, a lot of mod manufacturers have tailored their device so now it will fit the 510 atty as it produces a very good amount of vapor and seems to be one of the desired attys for mods.

An Atty is the atomizer. It is the part that connects to the battery and houses the heating coil to vaporize the juice within the cartrige (aka cart) connected to the other end of it. As for mods I do not have much experience. I currently have only one and it is the Protege by Pure Smoker. I like it.

First, Welcome! I am always glad to see another make the choice to move to a healthier and more environmentally friendly option.

Second, there is a Sticky post near the one mentioned to you before which explains common terms and slang. You may find this useful in understanding the posts of veteran members (I know I did) But for speeds sake I will explain that atty is short for Atomizer. This is the part of the e-cig that turns the liquid to vapor.

Third, I also would recommend the 510 model for you. I went with an 801 personally, but from all i have read and experienced the 510 doesn't leak nearly as much as the 801. And the volume of vapor produced isn't very different (this is just from what I have read, as I do not own a 510 but will soon) The 510 also has the largest number of mods created for it. While most of these mods then get adapted to other models most start with the 510. It also is one of the most commonly stocked items with most suppliers.

This is just my 2 cents, take it as you will. Peace.

Thank you for all of your help. I'm learning and trying to make my decision. I'd prefer to keep my purchase under a $100 if possible so if anyones got a configeration of parts to make an amazing combo then please advise as I am completely open to suggestions.

You can do like most of us and start out with a starter kit, get frustrated with the short batter life, add a PCC, get tired of that and look for something better, or you can start off where most of us end up, with a big battery mod.

Mine is a Chuck. It holds a 3000mAh 3.7v battery, but you can also use two RCR123's and run it at 6v. It comes with the 510 fitting, but you can buy adapters to use any other attomizer you want from Altsmoke at a reasonable price. The batteries from Battery Junction are very reasonably priced and will for sure last you all day. That, a 5 pack of attomizers and a couple of bottles of juice is all you will need. It will be a bit over $100 though. The Chuck is $80 shipped, the 5 pack of atty's will run you about $35, the juice will be about $20 a bottle depending on what you get and where you get it and the batteries, including the charger will be $20 or so for either set up, $40 if you get both the 3.7v and the 6v.

But if you don't you will end up with several useless accessories after you do finally make the switch. By the way, there are other big battery mods out there. Not many cheaper than the Chuck with a battery that size.

Good luck.

Is there a reason you have to replace the atomizer? Shouldn't you be able to have a permenent atomizer and just replace the ejuice or ejuice cartridge? The chuck sounds great, definitely my 1 choice so far, considering that I don't care what size the thing is, as long as it performs EXTREMELY well. So can you make custom juice cartriges with the chuck? Does anyone have a link to a cheap manufacturer of the chuck?

A cartomizer is an atty and cartridge in one piece. It comes filled with flavored eliquid of your choice. These ecigs are referred to as two piece (battery and cartomizer) vs. the three piece (battery, atomizer and cartridge). You can also purchase the cartomizer empty and fill with the liquid flavor of your choice.

The little chuck vapes at 3.7 volts, the big chuck at 3.7v or 6v, according to the batteries you use. It can also be custom designed for you. This is the thread for the Chuckleheads http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/33735-how-spend-saturday.html Let me warn you, it is a very long thread.

The Xhaler vapes at 3.7v, 5v, 6v, or 7.4v, accomplished by a combination of batteries and end cap adjustment. Welcome to NHaler! You can follow the Xhaler thread here on this forum. Nhaler - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

Good luck with whatever you choose. You can purchase a 510 kit for $35 at Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. They offer fast shipping and very good customer service, as does Nhaler, and Jeff.

Another option you might consider is the RN4062 e-Cigar.

While it doesn't get a lot attention here on the forum, it's a great device.x Large cartridges, so much less refillng.x Has very long battery charge - especially compared to the 510 batteries. And excellent vapor production. Plus, it's affordable.

I get mine from myPVshop.com using Discount Coupon code: IVape10 to save an additional 10%

Just another option for you to consider ... But it has worked well for me.

None of the links work. I would love to see and hear more about this vaper, anyone know of any links?

Also for other devices that allow for adapters to go on, what would be the best adapter to go with? 501, 901, ect?
