Hey guys and gals, I was just wondering if anyone here may know of a brand of E juice/liquid flavor that actually lasts. Recently, I began making my own e liquid and really like the way everything turned out, namely because it's so much more affordable than it is to continue to purchase my juice from local vape shops. Unfortunately for me though, one thing I am not really happy with is the flavor of my juice/liquid. When I ordered my Nicotine, I was given a sample of their flavor additive, and I also went ahead and purchased some that I thought was from a popular brand online through Ebay. What I have found in the two types I've tried, they don't seem to retain the flavor long. I made sure when ordering my supplies for making the juice that I got the 60/40 vg pg, so that I could try to keep my juice flavorful. When buying the flavoring, I also got pure pg, so that I got the maximum flavor, since I hear that it's the vg that doesn't take the flavoring well.

Regardless of my attempting to make sure I had enough PG to be sure I kept a decent amount of flavor, it just doesn't seem to retain the taste. When I first made the juice, the first two or three days, wow, it was so strong that I actually wanted to dilute it with more vg pg, but didn't add anything, hoping that the flavor would mellow out over a bit of time, when it had time to mature. Instead though, it's around a week after I made my first batch of liquid, and it was only a 30ml bottle, so that I didn't have it sitting there for a huge amount of time, but even within the week, the taste seems to be all gone. At first, I thought it may be due to using the Japanese Cotton I got with my order of the Kanthal wire, but then my Ekowool arrived and I found it to be the same. Quite simply, I just think the flavor is gone now completely. Is this normal? Is there a brand of flavor additive that actually retains the flavor? When I ordered mine, I was also given the choice of ordering the type of additive that is immediately smoke-able, and a second type that was more concentrated or would take more time to mature. I decided to go with the latter, and ordered the stronger of the two, hoping that I wouldn't need to continue to add more over time.

Is it possible that the flavor additive is just bad? I can't imagine that it's that I added to little, as I used an online tool to formulate my juice which was recommended here in the forums for new users, so my measurements were precise. That leaves me dumbfounded as to what is happening, as it seems that the store bought liquids seem to have full flavor even weeks after I opened the bottle, so I'm hoping that its just that the brand I got was garbage. I got SVA flavor concentrate. The Free sample of flavor additive isn't labeled with a brand, aside from the store I got it from, Nic Vape I believe is where I purchased my liquid nicotine. The liquid nicotine seems to be fine, I don't notice anything strange, I don't have any feelings of nicotine withdrawals, so I don't think that it's bad, but the flavor additives are both a different story. I was hoping that perhaps someone here may have a brand that could be recommended which retains it's flavor longer. Ah, in case it affects things, the SVA brand flavor is watermelon, and the other is Grape. I don't have a clue if the taste itself has anything to do with it, because like I mentioned, the grape was so strong in the beginning, that I would have thought that it would surely remain strong, but it's just gone.

Thanks for any info you guys may be able to give me.

The Flavor Brands I use are The Flavor Apprentice, FlavorArt, Capella, Hangsen and Flavor West. I buy my flavors from Wizardlabs, RTS, in small bottles 8-10ml first to make sure I like the flavor before buying large sizes.

Some flavors are weak such as Watermelon which you mention and need help; try a drop of Raspberry per 5ml. To stop flavor fade I use Citric Acid, or a drop of lemon juice per 5ml for fruits and apple cider vinegar for tobacco's.

When you see a recipe understand that you must use the same brand of flavors that were used when it was created.

Hope this helps.:)
