Questions about Provari

I am seriously considering purchasing a Provari. I already own a Vamo V5 so I understand variable voltage and I know I like it. Besides build quality, customer service, and cosmetic differences my real question is how does it perform differently compared to the Vamo V5. Does it use the 33hz chip? Is there any major difference to expect performance wise?

A ProVari uses a 800 mhz ProVari chip. Nothing like the one in a Vamo.
It seems 20% of ECF is dedicated to ProVari posts- and not ones saying it broke. There's a reason for that...

It has an 800mhz chipset.......you swap a carto tank back and forth from Vamo to Provari at the same voltage and you will taste a difference and get a vapor production difference. Its not HUGE, but it is very noticable. That has been my experience.

I use a Semovar's as well so this is not coming from a "Fanboy".

If you use a kayfun, I dont know if you will notice a difference ( as Kayfuns are so powerfull). I havent tried it. I havent used a 33mhz chip mod since I moved to Provari's. I cant go back in that direction anymore.

It's definitely more than skin deep. The Provari fires mean voltage instead of pulsed like the Vamo (Pluse Width Modulation), and checks and adjusts the voltage at 24 times the frequency of the Vamo. So the Provari is firing a pure uninterrupted voltage signal to the topper and not quick on and offs like pulsed. When I set my Provari to 3.6 volts (just an example, all voltages will be the same, but I just tested this) I measure 3.58 at the topper. So that means the Provari adjusted for the voltage drop from the resistance of the coil. The Vamo will drop around .4volts (and it's pulsed not constant), so you would have to turn up the voltage higher to get the same vape and even then it won't be as consistent.

Sounds all techie I know, but you will know the difference the first time you vape it. Vaping is the proof, and you won't regret the purchase. And no rattlesnake sound, that's got to be a bonus.

I thought I broke a Provari once. I changed the carto and it worked again.

No one is harder on a Provari than I am.

Wasn't saying you were, I am actually looking to buy one as I previously stated. The only bad thing about Provaris I see is how quick the owners get defensive.

I basically just wanted to know what performance difference could be expected if I bought one. I'm about to pull the trigger, just trying to find a quality matching beauty ring that will finish well with a Kayfun 3.1 that is actually in stock.

Actually, it's an 800hz chip. 800 cycles per second, not 800,000 cycles per second. Yes, it does matter.

And no, it's junk, keep buying Vamo's, Z and Vmaxes, the five of them you will buy in two years are a much better value.

I did kill my Provari, I left a carto tank on it for too long and the juice leaked and corroded the circuit board. It was a real bear to work with Provape! Took me at least 6 hours to get an RMA number and a packing slip emailed. Then it was gone for a week before they shipped it back to me, fixed for free. Yup, junk, don't buy one!

I recently gotten mine. I have went through 2 Vamos in the last year, A v2 and V3. I loved them but no matter how I babied them the threads would strip. My V2 is useless now but I can use my V3 for Ego threading.

I had just heard good things about the Provari threading and that it very long lasting. It does have a better vape then my other batteries by far. The part I like is that it holds full power til right before the battery goes dead..

I HAVE seen nasty response posts, but not when the question was posed earnestly, like yours was...

I got a ProVari, thinking "there are a LOT of people saying the vape is better" but still a little doubtful about that. But I also liked the look, and especially the size - I wanted a quality regulated device that might be small enough to carry around.

A week later, I bought another one.
The chip is the only reasonable explanation, but there IS a difference in the vape between the ProVari and my VAMO or my SVD. I still use those - I like them - but the ProVari is better.

It is a lot better then the Vamo...smaller too. I was planning on just using mine at home. I usually use a couple of Vision Spinners. But the Provari is no much bigger then a spinner length wise and performs a whole lot better that I might just take that with me in 18490 mode and just carry a spare battery in pill bottle.
