Questions about the Provari

First off, I am new to electric cigarettes but I want to go for a good model.

To my understanding volt has to do with throat hit right? What if you don't care for throat hit? Would it be better to get the V-1 or V-2 just because it has better features?

Also, what would be a nice carto tank to slap on there that's easy to fill? Can it be any one or only certain cartos?

Where's a good place to get reasonable priced juice for the Provari? Preferably a website that also sells the cartos as I don't like buying from a ton of different web sites.

TH depends on a lot of factors: Ohms, watts, PG/VG %, Volts, and amps. If you don't care for TH then you should use higher ohm cartos/atties with lower voltages then what the carto is intended for. For example, you can use a 3 ohm atty at 3.7V. This will give you barely any TH. Also, if you were to use a low nic level with little to no PG. Then you won't have to worry about TH at all.

There are two types of carto tanks. One uses grommets and the other uses caps/o-rings. I would suggest the second one and there are a lot of tanks out there. I would suggest a Phiniac tank since it's durable and made from pyrex. The benefit of this is that it will withstand any type of e-liquid. Since the polycarbonate tubes can't handle a lot of different types such as cinnamon. Which is the main culprit. Here's a link:

The advantage of a VV device is that you can dial in the appropriate voltage for you and your atty/carto, hence, pretty much any atty/carto resistance will work. In addition to providing more TH, a higher voltage will also give you more and warmer vapor. Also, some juices will taste better at different voltages. Another thing I like about VV devices is their ability to told the same voltage throughout the life of the battery.

That's an awesome set-up but, the thing is that the Boge SR won't fit into the XL Tanks. You would have to use an XL carto like the resurrectors for example. I'll try to see if I can find you a link for some of them.

Okay so those carts would fit inside the tank?

Is there pyrex tanks that already have the cartos inside?

I hate to be finicky but I just don't want to get all the parts separate from different places.

Yes those will fit in the tank. Have a few of those myself for my Phiniac XL tank. I know it's annoying getting parts from different vendors but, that's the best way to do it. Since not every vendor has everything. Plus, it's cheaper a lot of times. Phiniac is the only place that sells Pyrex tanks but, it's really easy to use.

Wait, I think the Provari comes with a 5 pack of 3ohm cartomizers. Do I still need to get those carts or will these work and I just need to get the tank?

If you want to use the cartos that come with the kit then you will have to get a standard sized tank. If you look at the description then it will give you a list of what sized cartos will work with it. Here's a link to one of Phiniacs affiliate vendors:

The one that you have chosen is an XL tank and will only work with XL cartos. The advantage of this is that you have the ability to have more ml of juice to carry with you.

If you get the tank that I provided a link to then yes, all you need is the tank. HOWEVER, it's always a good idea to get a few packs of cartos as back ups. Since cartos aren't meant to last forever. The most you can get out of them would be 10-15ml before the carto gets burnt.

Which means you usually taste a burnt flavor with it. The reason being is that the coil has burnt the filler material. Thus, you are inhaling smoke rather then vapor now. So, it's best to toss it at this point. Yes, it still works obviously but, it's not as safe to use as it was new.

I think I'm going to go with the regular tank and the kit.

So if I want to get less through hit I need to use with just vegetable glycerin?

Absolutely, that tank is meant to be used with regular sized cartomizers. You don't have to necessarily use just VG. Like I said before, you can also use your set-up at a lower voltage to get less TH.

Or you can lower the nic level as well. There's many different ways of lowering the TH. You just have to choose the way that you feel most comfortable with in the end.

Deda, the only way you can get a V1 soon may be to purchase a used unit. The tank I like on ProVari it the VISION Stone. Reason being that I carry the PV in a Bianchi flashlight holster. It's in and out of the holster several times during a workday. The Stone has endcaps that screw into the barrel. I've had several other tanks that pull apart while being withdrawn from my holster. JMHO

I really like my provari's they are really hassle free vaping with a 3 ml carto tank I don't really change voltage a lot I have them set about 5.2-5.4v with a 3 ohm boge carto in my tanks. The thing I like the most about them is there is no voltage drop like on mechanical mods, put in a battery fill up a tank and the voltage stay at what ever I set it at until the battery drains
