Questions about Voltage Drop

So, as the title states, I have a few questions about voltage drop. I have an itaste SVD and after using it for about 2-3 months I've started to realize that as soon as I put a freshly charged battery in, I get great performance for maybe half an hour and then the performance starts to degrade and stays at that "degraded" state until I have to recharge the battery. Voltage drop is something I hear about fairly often but I don't know all that much about it. Is what I'm experiencing voltage drop?

Just for reference the batteries I use are the Efest 18650 2000mah v1 flat top.

That's not supposed to happen with a VV or VW device, I've only heard of that happening with straight batts, sounds like your SVD is having problems.

So voltage drop is more of a problem with mechanicals? Also, the lower performance is only slightly noticeable but it is definitely there, it just doesn't hit as hard after the battery has been in there for a little bit.

Yeah, voltage drop is a problem for mechanical's, and one of the main reasons people like VV and VW!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but what you are experiencing is the joys of Chinese quality control! Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose!
How long have you had it if I may ask?

Efest batteries are not great quality. They are probably not holding their charge very well anymore and your SID is having trouble trying to maintain the proper voltage.
I suggest you replace that battery for an AW brand battery and see if that makes a difference.
If it doesn't, then the SID is to blame and it is time to replace it.

I was actually thinking about that, I've been needing to get some more batteries anyway so I'll try and see if that helps.

yea i agree change batteries and clean the mod real good, the threads, the 510, the battery contacts inside etc.

Yes, that should be too new for that kind of a problem with the board. I haven't had any bad luck with the Eftest's yet, but I don't use them much either!
