ten days after my wheeling and dealing for three Woodvil, I now find myself staring at five beautiful mods for Home but only one beater Mini left for use On the Road. Not good for three day- two night runs, which I might be doing soon (as in tomorrow). Duh-h.
I'm thinking of taking a VV Grand out on the Truck. Keeping in mind anything on a Big Truck lives a rough life:
1) are VV Grand as durable as the other Metal REOS ?
2) will a set of stacked batteries (fairly new AW IMR 18350) last as long as the 6ml bottle ?
I've had this VV Grand for over a year, but it's rarely left the house and never as an all-day mod.

The VV is pretty darn tough, although it will not deal with wet conditions like the regular metal. I can not get though a 6mil bottle with one set of batteries, more like half for me but that is with an RM2 and alot will depend on the resistance of the coil and where you set the VV at. I quit messing with measuring the voltage long ago and now just set it where it vapes best, which I hardley ever mess with the settings now:)

That's only 4 or 5 weeks away! I have used a grand every day for i dunno 15 months, so i am biased. My vv grand stays at home.

I can fix a grand (or totally mangle it depending on your POV), but i'd hate to have to mess about trying to solder new gear in a vv. They are both good to vape, but they are vastly different animals.

If the chip should suddenly decide to quit with the VV Grand, you'd be up the creek. Only Rob can fix that. (One of mine did....Rob fixed it.) There's nothing much that you couldn't fix on a Grand with some Noalox or a screwdriver. Couldn't you take one of your Woodvils and just make a commitment to be careful? Keep it in a special place and sorta baby it -- at least this one trip until you can get a Grand.

Or.....swing by Oklahoma and I'll loan you a Grand. :)

Nope, not Oklahoma. Been over a decade since I've crossed the Mississippi. Probably more like Ohio or Kentucky.
I used to like those long runs, when I was a little younger....
I think I'll bring a Woodvil 18490 along as a 'just in case'. It's lace wood, supposedly pretty durable as wood goes. But I will have to keep it close and baby it for now.
