quick coil diameter inquiry

I've noticed that when I am watching coil building videos they use drill bits and talk about the diameter with fractions and seconds and such. I have a 3mm & 2mm rod i use. What is the equivalence of the mm to the drill bit fractions?? Thankd in advance!

As far as I understood, 5/64 is about 2 mm and 1/8 is about 3 mm

I'm not being mean, I do this all the time.. You can just type in google any conversion and it'll tell you. Whether it's 5/16 to mm, 1 cup to oz, or 67f to c, etc it's pretty cool.

Fractions of a unit of measurement from the 1300s, based on "three grains of barley, dry and round, placed end to end, lengthwise". I prefer the distance travelled by light during one three-hundred millionth of a second, but thats just me.

Myself and most of the vapers I know go with 2mm or 2.5mm micro coils, or ocassional 3mm or larger macro coils.

Steam Engine will also do the conversion for you but it's a lil bit of a PITA.

I just guess and wrap them around any ole thing, which is probably why I always catch my hair on fire
I have used all sorts of things that were not drill bits and I never knew the exact diameter. If you are using those dumb online calculators though, then yes, you will want to use the correct diameter size.
