Quick TRA question

Hey TRA owners: Do you find that in cold weather the TRA feels colder to the touch than wrinkle or vein or hammertone? I'm thinking about going TRA for my next one, but It gets pretty durn cold here in Philly, and if it feels colder than other options I may have to go with my second choice of black wrinkle with metallic red door (man, that thing is sexy).

When it gets colder here in Florida (ie under 60 ) I haven't noticed any difference. The TRA definitely has a different feel to it, almost sensuous in a way, and is my favorite. I would probably wouldn't lick it in sub zero weather but other than that I don't think you will notice much difference.

My vote is no different, but I don't live that far up north. You can snag some thin leather at a hobby shop, and some glue and easily make yourself a REO "glove" in any color/style you want though.

Doesn't get cold here either. But it stands to reason that a light touch would make contact with more of the finish on a slick TRA than on the textured finish of a vein or hammer tone. Light color would collect less warmth from sources than darker colors would as well.

Enough of a difference to matter? Maybe above the arctic circle. As far as I know they haven't moved Philly that far north..... yet.

Sheeeeeeeee...when it's 8 degrees before windchill when I'm headed out to work, and you just *KNOW* the train is going to be at least 15 minutes late, it might as well be the arctic circle.

Appreciate the feedback so far, but has anyone actually field tested it?

I live here in Indiana and cold is cold no matter what. I would go for it TRA is a schweet finish.

I just picked both up, maybe a slight bit colder than the Black Wrinkle, but hard to tell. when I had it polished it did feel colder.

I've noticed my TRA being cold when I first pick it up but it warms very quickly and again.......that silky feel. I love the feel of the TRAs.

I have a black wrinkle REO with an SL TRA door. I've had it out in 10º weather, and I felt no difference.
