Quiet hum/buzz while charger is charging a battery?

New charger, 1-battery type with the slider for various battery sizes, 1000 mAh charge, sigelei brand...

At times hear a quiet hum/buzz while it's charging a battery, sometimes with different volumes.


Normal? Or is this thing going to explode on me one day?

Fairly normal. Mine does it, anyway. Sometimes makes a rhythmic 'clicking' sound too. Hasn't exploded yet.

We had a thread about the hum/buzz a while back and the consensus was that some of the components in the charger could very safely create that. I wish I remember the details, but I don't.

The clicking OTOH generic mutant, I've never heard of before. Any idea what could cause that?

It's odd. When it happens, it's constant, but it has only happened on a few charges.

It's very quiet, and probably a little over 1 hz.

It's a TR-006 Trustfire. Supposed to be a reasonably good charger, despite being made by Trustfire
