Hi everyone, im trying to get my father to stop smoking, i'm researching a lot on vaping kits/mods/coils/atomizers/etc.

I always find things like how to make bigger clouds, this atomizers produces a lot of vapor, that atomizer produces a lot of vapor and flavor...

But how about small clouds? to vape near smokers, to not bother anyone filling a room with vapor, and for a starter get used to vaping.

I could not find anything about small clouds, can anyone point me out a good vape kit / mod/ atomizer(rba/rta) for that purpose, to get closer to the feeling of smoking.

Lots of MTL options, just often times not so much carried in stores these days, as selling those big cloud machines (and lots of lower nic e-liquid) means that stuff that is sub0hm (cloudy) is found more often than more specialized vaping equipment for mouth-to-lung.

The T(whatever number) are liked by new vapers but they are fixed wattage, meaning that adjustments will need to be made via airflow and type of juice, but they are easygoing setups and lots of folks have quit successfully with them.

If you are looking to get your dad started more rapidly, may be best to go with a US based vendor although the Chinese vendors really do well as far as pricing.

Here are some mouth to lung options that I will often recommend:

Zelos Starter Mod Kit | Aspire

Same kit from a Chinese vendor: $43.09 Authentic Aspire Zelos 50W 2500mAh VV VW TC APV Mod Kit - 2ml / 0.7ohm / 1-50W / 0.5V-8.0V / 100-315'C(200-600'F) / aluminum at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

There's also the Eleaf Pico starter kit, you can find it with an internal USB charge battery or with a removable rechargeable battery, the first comes with a Melo II tank which is less cloudy, the second comes with a Melo III tank, which might be a bit cloudy. Nice and small and easy to operate...

Good luck, I'm sure you will get other great recommendations as well...

If you are trying to get your dad off of analogs, you might want to have him try a cigalike type vape. They look like a cigarette and vape like a cigarette. And most importantly, the have nicotine. You can buy something like a Blu or a Mark 10 at just about any gas station these days. Or you can order them online. There are a lot to choose from like the Halo, Mig Cig, and more. Back in the day, these type of devices didn't work very well. Although actually most devices of any kind didn't work so well. But now they are pretty damn good.
The bottom line is that a lot of us vape for the nicotine. And while the big devices are great, the small cigalike still has it's place for newer vapers and those of us who like to vape at work or in public places. I small cloud can be a lot less intimidating to non vapers in public, but you can still get your nicotine craving a shot.

The Aspire Zelos seems like a very good kit, it has everything, it is possible to rebuild coils with this kit ?

-edit: i could not find any rba for the nautilus 2, but this kit is really good and i will probably buy it, and change the tank later for something that can be rebuildable

Original Aspire Zelos 50W Kit -$40.23 Online Shopping| GearBest.com , this is cheaper than the mod alone.

thanks everyone for the replies

Honestly with a new vaper, sometimes drop in coils are easiest to manage. Yes, you can find an RBA or RTA for your dad later down the line, once he's gotten used to vaping. The nautilus coils aren't super expensive, but you can buy a box once your dad tries the kit, and sees how he does it will come with 2 coils, so your dad can decide which resistance he likes (1.8 very MTL, 0.7 still pretty MTL with that setup and airflow, but slightly more vape).

Since you have to order online from where you are, well, Gearbest does have great pricing. Good luck!

@binarystar - If you're trying to get your father to quit smoking, IMO it's important to know if HE is interested in quitting, and in giving vaping a try. Based on quite a bit of experience in the last 4 years, with helping people to quit by switching to vaping...THEY have to want to quit and be willing to give vaping a try for more than just several days, or it won't work. I've also found that the chance for success is much greater if/when they have input into what starter set-up (style, size, type, etc.) to use...rather than having someone else entirely choose it for them.

I believe the OP stated at some point that where he lived, he only had access to e-equipment online, so while that is excellent advice, it may not be possible.

To the OP, if you can involve your dad in the purchase, for example by showing him some kits and seeing what he likes, that may be helpful as that way he is "buying in" to the process from the outset. I really understand that you want to help your dad switch to vaping, but there is little point spending a LOT of time and money and etc., without first kinda "getting his blessing" as it were. Because if he's not interested in vaping, you can't make him be so, so it might be a thought to show him these "new quit aids" and ask if he would have the remotest interest or not. Even if he says "maybe" at least that is something. If you can get him to choose what color mod he likes, that is some buy in.

Don't be super-disappointed if it doesn't work. Remember your dad is an adult and he ultimately is going to make the decision to quit or not. I do understand though, once I switched to vaping it was very difficult to watch him "try to quit" unsuccessfully in dumber and dumber ways, like "I will smoke rollies because I hate them and will quit, cough cough cough." I just shut up, kept vaping (after trying to recruit him) and he eventually came around. He started January first and still hasn't had his first smoke free day. That is alright with me. He's an adult.

I didn't know that term, that will help

thanks guys
It's a thread in the general forum section, also for a mtl setup (mouth to lung which replicates the smoking action)
The mod which your batterie(s) reside in dosen't matter as much as the tank or atomiser imho.
For a good tank i'd go with an Aspire Nautilus (5ml) or the Nautilus 2, i've had the first gen 5ml and although i've had a couple issues with it, they were quickly and easily fixed thanks to this forum, the nautilus 2 however is a popular one from @stols001 :p but i heard it's a great tank.

If you need any mod suggestion i only have 1 in mind that's small and "portable"* :Aspire nx75, i've used that thing for months now dropped a few times but still kicking hard. It's main drackback for a non tech savy beginner is the fact it uses external 18650s which is good if you want longer battery life but bad if you don't want to travel all around with batteries in your pockets (don't actually do it please).

*: By portable here i mostly mean what's easier to carry,as to me my big gbox is as portable as anything else, just bigger lolz.

If he don't know much about vaping a pod type system might be a good idea. The Juul seems nice. One thing I found that turns a lot of people off about vaping is inconsistent gear. So whatever you get make sure it just works and is easy.
A pod mod system just might be a good idea to get him started. Extremely easy to use, inconspicuous, although a little costly in the long run (replacement pods are expensive). If he seems to take up vaping well, then he can begin researching into a more advanced "open" system.

Good Starter Setups for a Beginner Vaper

I don't really recommend a "cigalike", a vaporizer that looks like a cigarette.
