When have most of you cut down to 0mg nic
Was it in big jumps and what was the last jump ?

I can imagin that cutting by half or some thing not so Drastic may never end (Ultimatly quitting by half will lead to smoking 0mg nic but it will draw out fo so long.

OK its a troll game and It is a simple minde exercise and it probably dosn't belong here but, I am new and well this may be an interesting way for some to Get some post counts (Not that thats hard or anything ;) ) but it should be fun anyway.

lets say some of you are on 38mg/ml for the first two weeks
then you cut down drasticly by half (not that this would be effective, but for the Exercise)
your now Smoke 19mg/ml for the next 2 weeks

again you cut down by half this would be taking less out of your Consumption than the first cut down, but give your body some thing to have.
so now its 9.5mg/ml for the next 2 weeks (that 1.5 months gone)

cut down by half again and you are now on to 4.75 for the next 2 weeks thats 2 months

seems good yeah.

Cut that down by half again and now its 2.375mg/ml and 2.5 months later

seems like we are getting there, but we are taking less and less nicotine out of each cut down.

WHat would be the Logical jump that most or some of you are planing.

I am thinking
1/ controle the amount of times I vape in a day but keep it at 18mg for now. then go down by 2's each couple of months untill I reach about 4mg at this point I may just jump from there or Cut down by 1's untill 1mg and then go for .5mg

LOL it is just my beginner thoughts. and I am Happy I am thinking this way ;)
Cheers all

I started vaping a year ago. I started with those gas station e-cigs that I used for quite a while and those were around 16mg nic level, as I was a PAD ultra light smoker. About 5 months ago, I started using the eGo-c, and tried a higher mg of nic, I think I tried 24mg, and it was too strong. I decided to stay with my 16mg level, and about two weeks ago, I stepped down to 8mg. I am going to stick with that for a while, then eventually drop down to 0mg.

I too have no desire to cut out the nicotine completely. It's the other 3,000 ingredients in cigarettes that are harmful to you anyway. But I have found that since vaping, I can go ALOT longer without ingesting nicotine. When I smoked analog cigarettes, I was already niccing after about 20-30 minutes. After a month of vaping, I catch myself going hours without any tokes and without even craving them.

Of course if you're sitting in your house you're gonna toke up at least every 10 minutes. But, when I'm at my job (I work 12-16 hour shifts) I only have about 3-4 vaping sessions per day. And sometimes choose voluntarily not to walk to my car for the 4th one.

Mileage may vary of course if you're having a stressful day or not.

this is similar to my plan. Nicotine is poison, So is Vitamin A but thats another story. I am getting older now (42) and I wonder what nicotine is doing to my bones.

At least I will be lowering it and I hope it seems as effortless as stepping into the Vaping world was.

I have tried the 0 nic in about 4 months time. No throat hit at all. So, I got some juice that had nicotine and added that to the 0 nic juice I still had. The 0 nic bottles turned into 2.8-3mg/ml. I'm very satisfied now. I highly doubt I will go 0 nic again. I just ordered more juice at 4mg. Vaping without throat hit sucks!!!

And I have tested 100% pg...no throat hit at all...

I've been off of nico for quite awhile now....over 100 days. I started out using 31 mgs of nicotine and gradually stepped down. I'm not degrading those who want to continue using nicotine, but it's a personal choice that I made because I wanted to. I've found that I personally prefer O nic. I can taste the flavors better. When I've sampled juice with nico now, it all tastes the same to me....bad. Guess my tastebuds have fully recovered from 30+ years of smoking.

After finally being able to quit a 30 year habit of smoking I'm not about to over think the "quit vaping" or "no nicotine" morality play. Some folks believe that is some kind of must do agenda. But in the greater scheme of it all the actual smoking was doing you a bazillion times more damage than any level of nicotine you might be getting from vaping. Ok perhaps not a bazillion, but I'm not smoking and my Doctor is happy with that, my Allergist is happy with that, and after 30 years of smoking I'm in no rush to screw with the only thing that actually worked to quit.

When I started vaping it was by accident, as I bought a kit to use where I couldn't smoke, so I had no intention of stopping smoking. Now I find myself slowly weaning myself off nicotine for no particular reason other than I can. I started at 18 mg and I now use 10 mg I cut down by 2 mg every 1-2 months. If I find that 0 mg will not work for me, then no worries. If I stay on 10 mg forever that is also no problem. I think just being in control, of what I am using is the most important part of this whole process. When I smoked, I felt I had no control, the addiction ruled everything.

Eh...I am in no rush. There is so much more to worry about in life. The nic is negligible in the scheme of things. Its on par with coffee in my mind. It might be worse for me from a physiological perspective, but no worse than that one thing I just dont know about yet. I have a cantaloupe in my refrigerator right now that is potentially more harmful than my nic. (recalled due to salmonella and I dont want to throw it in the trash until trash day).

If you Scroll down to the bottom of the Page, you will most likely see a Dark Blue grey Bar with a Dropdown menu displaying --Kirsch 2, its on the far left of the bar.
Hit what appears to be a chevron and a menu will appear, (Drop down Menu..... activated ;) ) Now if you try a few different styles, you will find one that has Avatars disabled or not shown, use this one if you wish to read ImThatGuy's Post.

Sorry ImThatGuy, I was too confused and distracted at first to read that post ;) But its ok now, I am back to avatars activated and am now temporarily immune. (fantastic Avatar there buddy) I may need to get a rooster and a large pair of Speedo's to do something similar ;)

congratulations on first trying 0mg, and for staying on what most would call super lite 4mg.
maybe we do need to make it go on forever and reduce by ever increasingly smaller amounts. Well I just hope I can get down to 4mg someday, I recall being on 1mg Stinkies when they were labelled so, but they were full of other crap and had holes in their .... that would relive pressure and allow extra vented gas... hmmm sounds like me:blink: So I gave those up. tasted like S$!....

AuBadge;
I do tend to over think some things and under-think many others ;) this is obviously one of the ones Where To me I am just thinking it . Totally get what your saying.
cheers

Kay1959;
You have given me total hope. Congratulations :glare: :p

Rickajho;
I agree, getting on to vaping was probably the best life decision we have all made, and just that alone is fantastic. when I convert new people. I usually motivate them with the usual words, Cheaper, Smell better, has some 3990 chemicals missing from your usual nicotine meal, etc. I tell them that getting onto vaping is just a digital or modern way of feeding the addiction, you are not quitting etc (yes they are if the do, but I say this because it relives the tension some people feel when faced with Quitting <Myself included> ) we do what works for us, and for me I am working the positive feeling by looking forward and thinking about the better side of life ;) cheers

Yves;
there it is, we are in control of our nicotine consumption, we know what is in it and can list the chemicals (bar Flavour) we can step down or up as we choose without getting a new world of chemicals added as we do.

Cheers all
Bryce.
