Yes, #1 would be that you are mentally committed to quitting smoking. Just like Mr. Miagi said.
"Karate yes, Karate No, Karate 'Guess So' get squished like grape"
It was much easier for me because no one I live with smoked other than me, and I tried not to do it around them. There is a designated smoking area at work, and I have avoided that area since I made the switch. The first few months, and probably to this day, cigarettes smell good to me and make me want one.
I see that you're trying to quit around other smokers, but that's going to make it even harder. Quit first, then you can test yourself if you really want to. I keep my cigarettes buried in my trunk so they're not easy to get to.
It's okay to have a drink, but don't get to the point where you are drunk. When the I don't give a crap mentality comes in, you'll cave. I actually cave once in a while too.
If you get a craving, just vape until you don't want one anymore. In the beginning, I had to vape to the point where I got a nicotine buzz before my craving went away.
Remember, the average cigarette craving only lasts 3 minutes. It won't last forever if you can wait it out.
Get a juice that you really like and gives you that throat hit you need. Don't drop down in nic level too fast. I ended up smoking a few when I did. I vape 12mg when most of the people I know vape 6mg. The difference..... I don't smoke and vape like they do, I just vape.
Learn to rebuild your coils. Kanger single coils are extremely easy to rebuild, that's why Kanger is moving towards dual coil standard to get some of that revenue back. The better wicking gives you better vapor, flavor, and throat hit.
