Rachel Ray Talks About Banning E-Cigs

I have watched sooo many cnn, fox news etc segments that talk about ecigs and none of them did their homework. If ANY of them read ANYTHING on this forum BEFORE they went to the airwaves we would me miles ahead in educating the public the benefits of vaping. I can't help but wish that Oprah would do a show on this AFTER someone there did their homework. I am sure they could find several vaping members that would go on her show to help educate the benefits we all now know of vaping and giving up analogs. MHO

We need more people like Dr. Vapor in the media light. There are A LOT of people who hold serious misconceptions about e-cigs, and it does us no good if we don't fight them on this. I smoke regular cigarettes when I'm out of e-cig cartridges, but I always have those new refills to look forward to. I do NOT want to be forced back to smoking coffin nails permanently until I'm ready to quit. I like the feeling of drawing something of substance into my lungs, and I want what I draw into my lungs to be the vapor from my e-cig - not smoke from a cigarette.

WOW Dr.!! I've told my story twice today so I'll make it short. I've had 2 heart attacks and have a difibrillator implant. I mix my own liquid and intend to go to 0 nic.. I'm at 8nic. now. I quit cigs 1/15/10 and haven't had one since!! I love vaping and my bp is normal with my meds. Heartrate and rythym are much better and my pulmonologist says my lung function has really increased! I hope Rachel becomes more informed. I truely think e-cigs are saving my life!!! Loved your video.

Thanks dr vapor for keeping us informed. Ms Ray should want her audience to be informed and not controled by her ideas. I think she should have reserched the product before introducing it to her show. If she can't do this maybe she should go back to the kitchen.

Agreed. If she continues to do this type of uninformed commentary, her ratings will get a high school swirly. *sniff* I'll miss her.

I like your activism. Are you a member of CASAA? To be honest, I wish we'd been aware of this segment (although they are filmed weeks in advance) so that we could provide a more "humanistic approach" to e-cigarette users.

To choose the black and white (ECA vs FDA) approach removes the massively gray area that users live in. Pitting one government entity against the "Big Boy" supplier discounts the opinions of many users who have staved off analogs for over a year now.

CASAA, ECF, VF and other groups represent hundreds of thousands of vocal users of vapor products. People who have quit by percentages (or in entirety) the use of burining tobacco products.

Thank you for this post. I encourage you to join CASAA and at least post these observations for us to share with the harm reduction audience. (many of whom don't read these forums regularly)

Obviously she knows nothing about the subject, she shouldn't have even tackled the subject on her show, go back to cooking Rachel, you are showing your ignorance.

I have to admit, if you're going to talk about something you have no clue about in front of millions of people, the least you can do is do some research beforehand.

I mean...she held it the same way i would hold a used serynge i'd find on the ground 8-o
