New to the forum. I found you all by merely surfing on E-cigs and was fortunate enough to trip over this site by accident. Wasn't too hard though because of all the activity this site seems to generate.

I have been lurking for a while and have found all advice, welcome, and general goodwill to be first rate. So many forums seem to discourage the weak of heart. Not this one!

I have just discovered e-cig's about three weeks ago and have since spent a ton of money finding the kit that works for me. Not a lot for some but this habit certainly is not cheap.

Started with a quick shop kit at $39(i did get off cheaper than some others) that i soon found out, did not do the trick. then ordered online, a mini from Smoke Tip which i still occasionally use. A good buy but short lived batteries were not for me. I graduated to a Riva 510 SE(because of advice given here) and am happy. Went a step further and ordered an Ego T atomizer and a five pack of Ego T cartridges. They fit my Riva SE like a glove and I am a happy camper, so far.

I have ordered sample juice from Liberty Flights and Backwoods Brew and am OK with my purchases, but still haven't found that one or two flavors that really make me go.

The group on this site really amazes me. Not a cross word or sarcastic comment that i have seen. Think i will hang around a while!

Thanks!

It sometimes takes a while and lots of trial and error to find those elusive flavors. Me? I gave up the quest for the "all day vape" and took up DIY. Now I can make my own flavors and change things up whenever I feel like it. I've found that since I took up DIY I have a couple of flavors that have become staples, but I still mix up different flavors.

Did you try BWB Casablanca? That hit the spot for me, as well as FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship for a stronger Turkish tobacco, and FreedomSmokeUSA Cocoa for fixing up eh tobaccos or just adding more cocoa to good cocoa tobaccos like Casablanca and vapor4Life WOWbacco. Most cigs have cocoa in them and cocoa was key for me. FreedomSmokeUSA chocolate is good instead when you also want to add a bit of sweetness. Their (chocolate) Orange Ball can add chocolate and a high note of orange to a dark or weak drab tobacco. And good vanillas are the great fixer uppers for so many juices. Backwoods Brew Vanilla is a good one.

No, haven't tried those. But i will keep your reply and look at those. I have tried the tobacco blends from both LF and BB and am so far unimpressed with those. When i refilled a tobacco cart with Chocolate from LF i did get a nice surprise. Much better.

I liked the Apple Smoke from Backwoods Brew but not so much the Green Apple(tasted more like a menthol). I did find the juice from Backwoods Brews somewhat on the mild side. Not sure why except that maybe its a blend and the LF juices are either 100% Vg or Pg. I still liked the Backwoods Brews. It just seemed like i have to vape a lot more to get where i wanted to be.

vaporbombs cinna-bomb is a treat, is so good...but not my all day vape because of how sweet it is. i really like v/p's juices, their hypnotic mist i can vape all day its a flavor that doesnt get old. i havent tried bwb's juices yet but i will, once i start running low on whatever i have on hand. ive also notices that i like 70vg/30pg better than 80 or 70pg/20 or 30 vg. the former produces much more vapor and flavor is "smoother". i notice a little bit less throat hit but not much at all. (i used to be a GPC lights smoker, 2 packs a day. (i use 18mg nic, give or take)

I'm content with my 1000 mAh USB eGo and dripping with Vaperite juices (favorites: kona cream, strawberry shortcake, blueberry pancake, caramel cream mixed with boysenberry.) I was thinking about getting a mod, but realized what I am doing is working for me and I've broken even. I had to up my nic level for a bit, but have settled around 16-18.

Forgot to mention. I was a 20 plus cig per day smoker. after 3 wks i am down to about 15. not very good progress, unless you figure that i am not really trying too hard. Have never tried to quit in decades of smoking but those results without even trying have convinced me that maybe i should consider not buying another CARTON of analogs?

Newbie but there is a large difference from juice A to juice B ; wish more juice vendors offered a large collection of tiny trial sizes in one bulk buy for reasonable price,

I've been vapin' a little over eight months and I couldn't agree more. Another problem for me is trying to keep up with my changing taste buds that declare a juice to be great one day only to downgrade it the very next day lol. I have managed to come up with some staples though and some decent prices so over all I'm not complaining. :vapor:

I'm with the folks on here that advise not putting a lot of pressure on your self to quit, but rather celebrate your victories and reinforce the things that gets you there one step at a time.

Finding a sweet spot will be the best way to keep you vaping and yes i agree with the trial and error but try not to limit yourself to just that sweet spot when you find it always keep an eye on new product developments and flavors there is so much to explore in this industry I have a nice modest collection of juice and pv's that I enjoy and that keeps me vaping so always keep one eye open while using your favorite rig. My $0.02 :)
