Just ran into a video about getting more or less unused 18650s for cheap. Likely old news. Seemed interesting though. Anyone know anything about this?

Taking batteries out of a Battery Pack and using them in an e-Cigarette is almost always a Very Bad Idea.

In that Video, that guy say's that what he harvested was Samsung ICR18650-26F Cells. And they were a "Good" 18650 Cell. Here is 2 Performance reviews for that cell...

So what were are looking at is Basically a 5A CDR 18650. Which is a Very Low CDR for anyone using more that about 12 or 13 Watts on a Regulated Mod. And something that should NEVER BE CONSIDERED if using a Mech Mod.

There is also the Issue when one has to De-Solder the Tabs off Battery Pack batteries that are in Parallel or in Series. Because Excessive Heat while De-Soldering a Battery Tab can Damage a Cell.

This is only a good idea for a vaper if you

• know what you're doing,
• know what your getting and
• know that what you're getting is safe for you to be vaping with.

Unfortunately, there is some possibility that some day vapers may have to buy battery packs (at full price) so that we can obtain batteries to keep our mods running.
