Rancid Liquid ? Cappuccino taste and feels like ash in my mouth

I have been vapping for 3 days now and i have a ego passthrough with ry1 and a ego XL with cappuccino in it. Both have XL carts and attys. The first day I got it, the cappuccino was very harsh and would make me cough but had a good flavor and the ry1 was smooth and taste great . Over the last 3 day the cappuccino is getting more harsh. It almost feels and taste like ash in the back of my throat. I have yet to finish a cart and was wondering if the e-liquid can go rancid after a few days. Should I clean it out and start over. Over all everything else seems to be working like it should so I not sure what icould be causing this

Did you clean your attys, when they were new? The priming liquid in them can taste nasty and linger for a while.

Could be you're letting your attys get too dry, are you getting a good cloud of vapor?
Like you can blow smoke rings with it? A dry atty will give off all sorts of burnt
and unpleasent flavors. You could try dripping 2 -3 drops of juice directly on the atty
and see if the flavor improves.

Put three drops on the the atty and a emty cart on it and it is still harsh

Have you tried changing attys? Burnt juice or flavorings on the atty's wick
could be the cause?? The juice won't be rancid, if fact may need a few days,
or more to steep and develop the flavor.

Also is it only happening on your pass thru, or on a regular battery too?
The pass thry connects to a 5v supply, not 3.x lilke a battery, and may be
passing too much power....but that's just a guess. ;-)

I don't have the passthrough plugged in most of the time so I don't think that is it. If the atty is burned, can i clean the burned taste off or is it toasted. I did notice that all the attys I got from LF had what seemed to be rust on the wick. i could be wrong but that is what it looked like.

"seemed to be rust on the wick" that sounds like primer on the atty, bad tasting stuff.
You could try cleaning it up, check for info here:

Or could be that particular "brand" of coffee just isn't your "cup of tea"
