I’m back! Was in the hospital since last Tuesday. Excruciating pain pancreatitis & gall bladder. Had surgery last Thursday. Pain like no other started Memorial Day night. Good thing I got my flavors orders in before. Still recovering. So I’ll be reading along until I’m recovered.

Ouch! I hope you are feeling better.

Yes compared to last week, thanks! I’m happy your terrapin has passed her last 2 eggs. I never knew terrapins mated for life like penguins.

They really don't in the wild. My pair have just been together for 11 years and have become very attached. But I am so glad she passed them, what a relief.

It is absolutely touchingly beautiful. And yes what a relief it’s so hard when someone you love is not well (terrapins included).

I saw some people complaining on FB about shipping costs going up and I guess they had to change their shipping prices because they were losing money on shipping.

I always felt their shipping charge was extremely good so now I know why. Having made many purchases from the UK, I know how much I have paid — Chefs was definitely a bargain. No business should be losing money because they are not charging enough for shipping. I would rather they stay in business and charge the appropriate shipping costs. I will purchase again from Chefs when the need arises.

Did you order more? I’ve noticed in my last 2 orders they were taking a lost because they charged that flat rate (I forgot how much) but when they arrived & I looked at the postage on the box they actually paid about £2ish more. Maybe they fixed their system?

The last order I placed with Chefs is when they had 20% off for their anniversary whenever that was and they charged ~4 GB. I was so surprised cause I thought it was such a good price. I did not look at the package to see what the actual costs were. I will take a look when my current order arrives. Even if I paid slightly more, it will not stop me from ordering again.

I have an sft mixed of the Cornish Cream Tea.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

FAUK has a blend called Chococo Melt — chocolate, cocoa and cream. For someone like me that does not like chocolate this sounds so good. Unfortunately Chefs does not carry this. There are a couple of other blends that I was interested in but again Chefs did have them.

I've become a rather lazy DIYer in the last year or so. I've always mixed up half a dozen 50ml batches of various juices when I DIY. Over time, I started liking my unflavored mix more and more. It's what I vape on a daily basis. When I want a little flavor I add a squirt of one of my flavored juices to a tank of unflavored and it's actually a good vape once you get used to the unflavored.

When I surf the DIY forum here I read about what you guys are vaping and I make notes for my next mix session. :) Looks like I have some new ideas for those half dozen 50ml bottles that I've vaped down over time.

I usually mix four 100ml bottles of unflavored when I mix, along with six 50ml bottles of flavored juice.

I ran across some juices the other day that I mixed and labelled in glass bottles in 2013. Yes, 6 years ago! They ended up forgotten on a closet shelf. They have good color and clarity. They smell just like they should. Has anyone vaped something that old after being shelved at room temp? I'm thinking that they should be fine, but I'm hesitant to pour some in a tank and vape it.

As long as it doesn't smell "off," I would vape it. :D

i'm not sure what guava tastes like, I used to drink sobe's as a teen and almost all of them had it mixed in....
the om vapors I had was almost a lemony taste but not quite....
this....eh...is somewhere between a lemon and grapefruit would be the best way to describe it, tart citrus with a hint of sweet...put some in my dripper and i don't know if it's because there was another flavor in there it's almost an apricot/grapefruit, not enjoying this.... lol i had my caramel apple pie cheesecake in there but had vaped it to almost dry hit so thought to give the guava cheesecake a try after it's steeped almost 2 days....and somehow it's almost tasting more like apricot or peachy grapefruit, ehhh i don't like oranges and most orangish colored fruits (funny since orange is my favorite color) now grapefruit i don't mind so much can take it or leave it....

I haven't tried this one it was in my calculators recipes (though i'm not sure what the original manufactures were since I edited everything to be what I have on hand)
    French Vanilla 1.25%
    Coconut 3%
    Pineapple 3%
Black Cherry 1.5% (it was probably originally just cherry, I think maraschino cherry would work better)
Kentucky Bourbon 1.25% (i'd think rum would be better though)

I'd say rule of thumb for pod type systems would be like the old cig-a-like carts %'s need to be upped to around 20% at least, if not 30%
I’m not using a pod so the flavor % ok to start with.
I’ll thanks I think I’ll check that out instead.

Try this - it is delicious!!!! I know that the list of ingredients is rather daunting but it takes the layers of both the pineapple and the coconut to get the flavor just right. This is Dave Bellow's (ID10-T) If You Like Pina Colada's Recipe with a few adjustments with flavors that weren't available when Dave created the recipe. He approves of my changes, BTW.

    My Piña Coladas
    FA Coconut 2.5%
    FA Cream Fresh 2%
    CAP Golden Pineapple .80%
    VTA Light Rum 1%
FA Jamaican Special (Jamaican Rum) 1%
    FA Lime Tahiti (Distilled) .25%
    INW Pineapple 3%
SugarDaddy Sweetener (or whatever you like) .5% (optional, but this one is slightly less sweet than Dave's without the Coconut Candy)
    VTA Sugarloaf Pineapple 3%
    FLV Sweet Coconut 2%
    WS-23 30% or Koolada (I use .5%)
Shake and Vape but better with a 3 day steep

NOTE: You could probably drop the CAP Golden Pineapple and not miss it much.

    thanks so much!!
I have everything except the VTA light rum I’m not buying more flavors atm so it’ll have to deal for a bump in rum wait a minute

OMG I have everything that’s needed. I should keep track of my flavor stash better!!

I just washed out a DoggieStyle atty and poured up a tank. It tasted fine, but gave me a noticeable head buzz with a little ringing in the ears! Back in 2013 I'm pretty sure I was still vaping and mixing 24mg nic strength. For the last several years years I've vaped 3mg with occasional excursions to 6mg nic (MTL).

Back then, I didn't list the nic strength, but did log the flavor and brand and the flavor percentage on the label. Nowadays, I list nic strength, flavor name, percentage(s) and brand(s), and PG/VG ratio, along with the date it was made.
