Growing up we had it with a lot of sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Then Mom would give us poptarts to eat with it. So unhealthy! But I've been using a bit of butter and cream, but I'm using my stevia drops. I love oatmeal but it can get old so this is a nice distraction. Of course my son doesn't like it...he's so picky! Drives me crazy.

My grandma made Cream of Wheat all the time. I doused it with brown sugar and it was really good. Switched to Coco Wheats as a teenager and never looked back.

I'm fine with banana but it would just confuse the other fruits you have going... I agree about Bavarian Cream (it will have to steep a while though) You might also do a separate batch with the donut.

Funny how different we can be. All my family members love cream of wheat and grits...I hate them. I like hominy though so go figure since that is what grits are. Guess it is the texture that is off putting for me.

Good memories of cream of wheat. But an even better memory is Fried Cornmeal Mush with butter and maple syrup!

Very good list! TFA lemon is weak and fades but will work if you add the other lemons (that's what I'm doing and it's working great)
