Good afternoon everyone! First two babies have left their egg shell.. Yolk sacs are fairly small so they'll probably be in the water very soon!

Thank you for the update. I was afraid it was something like that. Why can't people just live and let live? I hope Anna will be back here soon!
There’s a couple quite cranky people over there. I just skip over it when they get all fired up.

Interested to see what you think of the chemnovatic recipe. Lemon wafer was the only one of theirs I grabbed.

Hardly a replacement.
I didn't mean it as a replacement... just noticed there was no extra graham which we both recommend with cheesecake.
Haven't tried marscapone myself but just wondered if that was flavor that was throwing things off (yes, I was just guessing) You even mentioned there didn't seem to be anything that should make the mix taste yucky.
I hate to say it folks (but I often do) that's why I do a SFT of every flavor I get (of course I can only make small orders so it's easier to do) By the time you try 6 different versions of a recipe it might have been easier to just do SFTs so you know what flavor(s) is off.

I haven't tried that because I don't really have any strawberry flavors (just one that's a candy type... ordered by accident, thought it was an ice cream) All I can say is the idea is to use a low enough % that you don't perceive the hazelnut at all.
Was it the strawberry and cream one? I used it in a cereal bar recipe and it turned out quite tasty. Sort of added a strawberry icing vibe.

You can do things your way and the rest of us will do things our way. IMO there are some flavors that can be well tested in a simple recipe. I only SFT what I feel I have to.

Thank you! I just mixed a Dinner Lady Lemon Tart clone I found on ELR. This one looks interesting. I saw others I want to try too, but this one uses the Chemnovatic Lemon and Lemon Cream Wafer so I wanted to try it first.

This one doesn't call for any meringue though. I am really curious about that. I think I'll wait to see how it turns out and then add meringue if needed.

If it comes out good then please share it. I just got the Cnv lemons.

Fran turned me on to mascarpone and Brie. I like the little extra cheese twang it gives the cheesecake but some may not like it.

My Brie came first. Then I learned about the Mascarpone and of course was thrilled to find it just as good because of course it’s cheaper. I can’t imagine anyone not liking it but do recognize some may not.

I have an update on Anna. I think she now realizes it was a trouble maker on the Shiny thread that was just being nasty to her (while professing to be a friend). Hoping she will be back here soon.

It is my understanding that said person is/was a real ...... Over on the other forum,

I actually watch that thread, there was one individual over there that was openly negative towards Anna. Based on these posts I don't think it was this person, I hope it was not the Bunny guy, I love his Bunny posts.

Speaking of steeping -- I just smelled the 3B Cheesecake and Cheesy Acai Biscuit juices of yours. The 3B smells so good it will be hard for me to wait another week to try it. The Cheesy Acai smells good, but it's not nearly as yummy smelling at this point as the 3B.

I think I'll mix some other quick-steeping juices to distract me from the 3B and Cheesy Acai. I don't mind doing the heat steep, but I kinda want to do these two the long way and I am pretty close already.
I’ve got those two steeping as well, one month on 7/6 I think. I’m betting I’m into them 7/4!

This is my Blueberry recipe. Guess it's a bit odd using a one shot in a recipe. I'll probably try it with regular Blueberry flavoring. I don't know what else is already in the OSDIY Blueberry. I started this recipe for the unused flavor contest but this is slightly different from that version. Just used a different type of lemon. Can't really taste the lemon but the cake is nice. I haven't experimented much, like changing the %'s and so forth. But this is pretty much my favorite taste right now.

    Try again.

Nothing wrong with going out of the box. How long did you steep it for?

I'll let you know how it turns out for sure! It has to steep three days so I'll try it over the weekend.

    See the correct recipe below.

I steeped this for 3 or 4 weeks. I had another bottle already made with various differences so I wasn't tempted to dip into the new one.
