We live in a tiny town. There are no stores or gas stations or anything. No crime. We go to the next two small towns for stuff. We are surrounded by small towns. It’s growing though with new homes. I don’t own a gun but my son has several. Cutting grass today and it’s supposed to be a hot one.

NH has it’s city’s which would all be deemed small next to a city like Dallas Tx for example. The majority of the state is made up of small towns, many are cute and some not so much. No Confederate flags here of course and I’ve never seen a White Power one thank goodness. There is a drug problem like I think is everywhere at this point. All in all I’ve never had a big desire to leave here. Most folks here own at least one firearm. Critters ya know.

    Burbank CAlifornia
My little town, Burbank California is a magical place even if it is not little anymore. A safe place in the L.A county area because it had a separate municipality. own police force and school system.
50 years ago it was a wonderful place full of sunshine and palm trees. A bakery truck came down the street daily, selling fresh bread to the housewives, donuts to kids. He even had velvet line cases in the back of the truck proudly displaying the wonderful pastries. The street cleaner came once a week to clean the streets. You had to make sure you were not in the way when that big machine (looked like the thing that freshens the ice skating rink, a Zomboli or something) someone please google that.
The ocean was 30 minutes away and most families went every weekend.
THEN, everybody heard how wonderful it was and moved there. Now it is full of traffic and the beach is 90 minutes away because the freeway is always at a dead stop. The street cleaner still comes though and it is still magical. A bit progressive yet still quaint.

    Somewhere between here and there
Good morning mixers. Today is my wife’s bday. My daughter made her favorite pie. I’m going to make brunch and have a card with some cash for her. She said she didn’t want more “stuff” so cash it is.

I got some tanks and bottles cleaned yesterday but have more tanks to do. I’m not overly concerned about it today. I’ve found a few new recipes online that I want to try but doubt I’ll mix today.

My list of plans will make your head spin, and haven't left yet. Was unattainable and physically impossible. I did mix your rhubarb custard biscuit, but with some modifications. I really like strawberry and rhubarb

    Strawberry rhubarb custard biscuit
    Biscuit INW .5%
    Rhubarb INW 3%
    Custard v1 CAP 6%
    Sweet raspberry TFA 1%
    Ripe Strawberry TFA 3%

Yikes. I have never taken the INW Rhubarb that high. Pretty tart at 1%. I'm interested in what you think about 3%. Yikes again.

I suppose I could make a double batch of what I just made, but without the rhubarb and mix it all together to get 1%
Double batch should get it to 1 1/2% which is a lot better IMO. Did you actually mean to take it that high?

I modified @PapawBrett ’s Bear Claw recipe. I think I’ll go make it. Do not blog as it’s papaw’s original recipe. I’ve been wanting to try the cinnamon danish swirl as I’ve heard good things about it. This sounds delicious. But everything sounds good to me as I just went on a diet. I’ve gained 5 pounds during lockdown.

    Bear Claw

    1.00% Biscuit (INAWERA)
3.00% Cinnamon Danish Swirl v1 (CAP)
    1.00% Dairy Milk (TPA)
    1.00% Honey (TPA)
    2.00% Shisha Vanilla (INAWERA)
    3.00% Vanilla Cupcake (CAP)

I remember thinking it was really high, I should have asked.. oopsie
You will have to excuse me for losing my mind. I did take the Rubarb to 3% only in that one recipe to diminish the sweetness of the custard a bit. You're good.

Okay, whew :) But if it is a bit too tart, I think I'll know what to do to taper it down.
