Double post
I will happily share the recipes once I have nailed them down. The VTA Botanical Gin is impressive. The Tonic tastes like tonic water. I am amazed! I am trying the second Gin Fizz now and it is, to my taste, much better without the meringue. After I try the third one, I will know which direction to take it.
If you want a simple Gin & Tonic, 4% VTA Botanical Gin, 3% VTA Tonic, .5% Lime (I used FA Lime Tahity - Cold-Pressed - the VTA Persian Lime would be great,) and .5 to 1% WS-23 or Koolada.
I expect the 30ml sizes I bought will last me a long time but it would be great if BCF would start carrying them anyway.
I'll be needing those recipes when you have them. With all of the idea swirling around in my head, I am afraid that 30ml isn't going to last nearly as long as it should. I am still loving my Gin Fizz today. Even better with fresh taste buds. Now I want to add basil, make Cranberry and Gin, a French 75, a Basil Gimlet - it doesn't end.![]()
What is your recipe?Butterscotch ended up being less sweet in the end. I might try it with cheesecake. Maybe add pecan or something? Nutty sounds good with those two. Of course, I only have almond
Take this with a grain of salt, it’s the first “draft”. I use more flavor than you, and I can take a bit more sweet than you. Oooh, and it’s in ml baased on a 30 ml bottle. It’s easier to adjust that and figure out the % when I get the recipe where I want itWhat is your recipe?
I'm really liking the pudding base and pomegranate mix. I think I'm going to go ahead and make a bigger bottle this weekend.
Thanks I was planning to make it lower to start out with......You could probably go lower on the pudding if you want the pomegranate to stand out more.
Now if I could find a sub for that Butterscotch..............I revisited the smoked butterscotch/ ky bourbon. At 4 weeks it was very butterscotch forward, not much else. I was going to toss it, but put it back intending to tweak. Tried it yesterday @7 weeks, wow! I’m loving it. Needs a little tweak, but butterscotch laid down, italian cream popped up and bourbon is lightly there finally. May remix adding a touch of whiskey and oak wood and mark it for oct 1
A sub for butterscotch is going to be fun to figure outNow if I could find a sub for that Butterscotch..............
Yes,tell me about it.........Thinking something like Roasted pecan.A sub for butterscotch is going to be fun to figure out
I don't have butterscotch anything. Too sweet.Do you have butterscotch ripple?
