Several years ago our central AC stopped working. We have several friends in the various trades. Our AC friend replaced the capacitor and only charged us for the part. IIRC it was around $25-$30 bucks. We also gave him a 12 pack of beer. AC has been working fine since. And he taught me how to replace the capacitor. Pretty easy job.

We had a neighbor years ago that was an hvac guy that replaced our capacitor for $70 in the middle of a heat wave. I was glad to pay it. Over the years I learned more about our system and replaced the capacitor and fan motor myself. My company sells gases to some hvac supply companies so I went to one we service and the capacitor was $8 and the fan motor was $69. There’s a huge mark up on parts from the service companies but people just don’t know.

There are way too many YouTube reviews where the reviewer is 100% positive about every single product they review. I question those.

Not long ago I watched a Jai Haze video. He was attempting to explain what capillary action is with wicking. It was pretty funny. His claim was that capillary action doesn't happen in rta's because the "cotton is just there". He went on to say capillary action only happens in RDA's. Jai really didn't know what he was talking about.

Jai Haze is one of those reviewers people either love, or love to hate. He does have some good reviews. Personally, I think he's funny. I take most YT reviews with a grain of salt.

Like you, I prefer folks reviews here and ECF word of mouth about good products.

Jai went on a rant a while back on a video and I think most of his stuff is going to be only for subscribers that pay.

So I bought the amber 60ml bottles. Washed several in dishwasher. AS many as I need for now anyway. But, having a hard time getting the pipette out of lid.
What is the EASIEST method of cleaning these things. So many suggestions on the internet, but I'm looking for an easy but good way. Also, how often do you wash them?
Thanks ahead of time from Dumb Dumb Kat :w00t:

Don't know about easy. If you have trouble getting the glass dropper out hold the lid under hot water for a moment. That will soften the rubber and it will come out easier. I always take the dropper and the rubber bulb out and wash them separately. I figure there are too many places where water or soap or old juice can hide out if you don't take them apart, especially with the two part childproof caps. I dry them as well as I can with paper towel then leave them overnight. Guess you could blast them with a hair dryer to get the water out of the fiddly places if you want.

I'm sure everyone who uses those things has their own way of cleaning them.

Dropper caps do go bad eventually. Not sure why. Maybe the rubber degrades, I've heard VG is bad for rubber or it could be the flavors. I've got a few dodgy ones at the moment that won't suck the juice up or won't push it back out. They are pretty cheap though. I need some bottles anyway so I'm planning to put a dozen dropper tops on the order.

Well, yes, the glass part of the dropper lid. Can't seem to get it out of lid part. And do you clean the rubber top lids. Mine came all dusty. And how often do you wash the glass bottles. I'm wondering if I can soak the lids, rubber and all, in vinegar for a bit then rinse thoroughly or is there an easier way. So 2 questions. Getting glass part of dropper out and cleaning rubber lids.
Loving the Black Honey Leaf from JF, too!

You asked how often to wash them. I only wash when I'm going to use them for different juice. Got some that have been used with the same juice for years and never got washed.

I wouldn't pay 10 cents to watch his reviews. He rubs me the wrong way!
:D He rubs many the wrong way. I agree with you though, I wouldn't pay to watch any reviews on YT. Info is freely available elsewhere.

I have not used to watch much of his videos before, so if he has gone to paid subscribers it works fine for me, not one I will miss.

If it's high end, I prefer to see what Mark Todd presents, if it's more common stuff, I look at Mike Vape.
It may be that there are other skilled yotubers, but the two hold for me.

If you want to know opinions on any certain vaping device chances are good asking here will get a few good answers.
    Totally agree.
There are certainly those who feel that they get enough information by watching a video, but if one is to discuss one product, there is no doubt that one forum is much better.

I always thought so but I've never been into watching a bunch of videos.

The AC guy was just here and added more freon and turned it on - it works but I don't get why it needed more freon when he just filled it. Something is wrong here but we asked him if it quits working at 4pm will he come back and he said yes. We will see.

I always thought so but I've never been into watching a bunch of videos.

The only time I even consider looking at videos is if I have a new RTA that I need some building pointers on, and even with build videos I do that so little now that I'm more experienced... but occasionally I might need some tips.

Anything else I watch what people say here on ECF after they have owned and used a product for 6 months to a year... if the remarks are still good overall, then I make my purchase..

even those here who do reviews don't use the product long enough before posting a review to be able to say very much as to the things that interest me most - which is longevity. Is the thing going to break in 3 months? have board problems in 4? can't say things like that if you've not used the thing more than a tank or two before going on to the next mod review.

Hand feel, weight etc is great to know but if there's no longevity it's bunk.

It may be in the future. Thank you! I can see WHY you prefer it that way now. Hindsight! :w00t:
I went for the cap/pipette combo over dropper caps after reading somewhere that dropper caps aren't good for longer-term storage because they're not air-tight. The ease of cleaning was a perq I discovered later.

Some of the units where I work I have to hose out the condensor coils outside when they trip out when it's real hot. It seems to make a big difference on some units, like the dreaded Bard wall mount.:)
