I'm going to replace the defrost heater assembly in my 1985 SBS Montgomery Wards fridge/freezer. It was made by Whirlpool for MW, and parts are still available. This is the 3rd set I've replaced in it at $21-47. The only other parts I've ever needed to replace were:
2) thermostats @ $18 each, 1) temperature control @ $32, 2) defrost timers @ $17 and $23. I've needed freon put in it just once, in 2016 @ $86 (service call & freon). The compressor went out on it within the 5 year warranty period and was replaced for free then.

It cost $300 brand new in 1985, and I've spent at most $294 on it since then. The same guys who own the 2 appliance part places always chuckle when I go see them for a part. They say things like - "You still have that old MW fridge/freezer! See...we told you to hang on to it. They were much better built than the newer stuff. You can also still repair most things on it yourself! Can't do that with newer ones." I think it sort of makes their day. :)
wow! I was impressed with myself because I found and installed the hardware that holds the handle on my GE refrigerator. I can not imagine tackling what you are doing. Actually I considered giving the fridge (2 years old) to my daughter so I had an excuse to buy another and I so badly want a Bosch.

I’ve been running it in an Abyss with a nautilus coil and really enjoying it. I find myself reaching for it more than any other right now. Ones I like this much are few and far between.
It has been my adv for ages and I'm only recently feeling like a change.....having said that I do tend to have several different mixes on the go at the same time. If you like strawberry you can switch that for the Raspberry and it's just as good although sweeter so I drop the added sweetness some. Let me know if you like the idea and I'll give you the strawberry profile percentages :)

Good morning random folks :) Have you any plans today?

I’m going to clean the two new Dvarw I got yesterday and hopefully try out the amarula and mix a bigger bottle of the double raspberry recipe.

Don’t get a Samsung. There’s a class action lawsuit on them over the ice makers. My father in law has one and has been fighting it since he got it.

That sounds good. I think I have about every strawberry flavor so yes I’d like to see it.

    Total....2 in use. I know, I'm a wuss!

If that works for you then nothing wrong with that. I have bought a lot over the years but have also accumulated a lot from doing reviews the last few years.

Hope you enjoy it Fran :)

Thanks! I do have all of those. So keep everything else in the original besides the raspberry?
