Testing one of my new mixes this morning. I totally like the new FA Pineapple Costa Rica Special and FA Pineapple Kenyan Special.

A few weeks ago I put this simple little recipe together specifically for the new FA pineapples.

EsEmTee Pineapple Pudding Cake

WF Fluffy White Cake 2%
FLV Vanilla Pudding 1%
FA Pineapple Costa Rica Special 0.5%
FA Pineapple Kenyan Special 0.5%

It's a nice light perky summertime vape.

All flavors could be pushed, if desired. Example:
WF FWC 3%
FLV VP 2%
FA PCRS 1%-2%
FA PKS 1%-2%

Personally, I would not go that high but I know some other folks do like higher %'s. From notes I've seen at ELR, ATF and LD's those %'s are not out of line for any of those flavors.

Flavour Art knocked it out of the park with the new pineapple flavors. They are not syrupy, or canned, style pineapples. And they are not overripe. Not candy. These are fresh tasting pineapples. Sweetness is about a 5-6 (that could be knocked down with other flavors). There are no off notes.

The new FA pineapples will work well in tropical fruit mixes, bakery, desserts, ice cream, shakes, pudding or yogurt. :)

This little doodad I picked up at bcf is worth its weight in gold! It has saved my thumbnail trying to pry off the dropper tops of these bottles.

I use a jewelers flat blade screwdriver that has a very fine tip. It never damages, or gouges, the dropper tops on big bottles or the small 10ml's.

@ShowMeTwice I just got my fig flavors and am interested in your newest recipe.
I am wanting to try some. It's been steeping for three days. I only made 10mls. I will probably put a new wick in an rda and drip a little just to see how it's coming along. Thinking this should be done, for scientific discovery. Yes, I will do this. :)

How do the two pineapples differ from one another?

I didn't buy the new pineapple flavors. I've barely used the ones I have. I do remember liking the sugarloaf pineapple.

I rewicked one of my Pocket RDA's and am testing my Fig Newtons. For this to an accurate test I most certainly ate a couple Fig Newtons. ;) With the real cookie you get the cookie/cakey base flavor first and foremost. Mid to back end is where you get the flavor of the figs.

Before testing my mix, after eating a couple FN's, I did clean and refresh my palate so there would be no remaining FN cookie taste to confuse things. I did test my Fig Newtons juice off the shake so I would know how it develops over time. I made it on Friday, so, knowing it's going to need more time steeping, here is where it's at.

It is very much in the ballpark when compared to the cookie. Right now, the figs are out front but only by a little bit. And I fully expect those to settle down once JF yellow cake and FA cookie steep longer and gel better with the other flavors.

I could easily fill a tank and vape it as is. It is tasty. Not too sweet, right now I would say it sits ~4-6.

    I mixed 10mls, 70VG/30PG, 6mg nic using these flavors:

    JF Yellow Cake 2%
    FA Cookie 0.5%
    FA Milk 1%
FA Fig 1.5% (fresh fig flavor)
VTA Fig 0.5% (dry fig flavor)
    TPA Brown Sugar 0.25%
    FA Blood Orange 0.5%

So far, it's coming along very nicely. I will retest it later this week. :)

ETA: The brown sugar and orange are being used more as additives. IRL FN cookie recipes call for both ingredients.

I don't know because I didn't test them individually as SFT's. And also because I usually pair a couple, or more, like flavors in a mix to enhance the realism. At some point I will go back and make a couple 5mls of the same recipe with one pineapple in each. That way I will know the differences.

FWIW, from my experience FA's original pineapple was always better with the help of another pineapple. And it was better at a low percent. The higher I went with it the more funky it became.

I do like sugarloaf pineapple. However it is much sweeter in comparison to the new FA pineapples. Sugarloaf is more like a very ripe pineapple. The FA's are near ripe to ripe. Like somewhere just before fully ripe, if that makes sense.

I have the two pineapples but not at all sure I'd like a mix with just pineapple as the fruit.
Exactly. Now that I know what the new pineapples taste like I am going to add another fruit, or two, to what I have.

I'm thinking about adding one, or two, of the following: apricot, coconut, grapefruit, kiwi, lemon, mango, orange, papaya, passion fruit, pomegranate, raspberry, starfruit, strawberry. Per the Flavor Bible, any of those work well with pineapples.

That way I would have a nice tropical pudding cake. :)

ETA: Also tossing around adding a little FA Walnut. It's probably the most neutral nut flavor I know of.

Ohhhhh, maybe instead of Acai I'll go with grapefruit. I'll also consider the walnut.

Dvarws have arrived. I built the mtl, too tight. DL with the 2.5 insert is ok, maybe a tad loose. So far, I’m not blown away. It’s good, but not WOW. Inserts are still hanging out in China, as they were oos when I ordered the tanks.

    Good afternoon (evening?) :)
Hope you're all well, my hibiscus is happy and well in its new home. The other one is too, but hasn't blossomed yet. I dead headed the flowers that were on there when I bought them,, as they were spent.. They blossom from mid summer into the fall.

These are my first, so you’re still ahead of me. I’ll wash and store these two once I vape them down and wait for the inserts to come before I give them another go. I don’t like that I can’t dial in the af, and the inserts that are in them isn’t quite right

Mine are MTL but I did change the inserts in both where I really like them.
